Nurse appointment
The nurse was delayed by over 45 minutes and when she did arrive was extremely apologetic. But I do think the receptionist could have told me that the nurse was running late, rather than leave me sitting there, wondering what was going on.

Telephone appointment
I had an MRI and as a result I was told to make an appointment to discuss results. This I did but the doctor who rang me didn’t know why he was ringing and therefore hadn’t looked at my notes. This I found a bit strange. However on the whole I have found the surgery to be very good and friendly, especially on the phone.

No idea of next stages
Took my daughter to see GP, told she needs ear syringing, they would book. Go to reception to book and told you don’t do it. Asked what the next stage is and told I don’t know. So do I pay for private ear syringing or wait for referral for ENT.

Stomach pain
I had suffered with stomach pain for more than a year...had gastrostomy and no one has discussed results until this appointment. Nurse clealry can see that I have H.Pylori and antibiotics has been prescribed last week even after I have been contacting GP numerous times and they only have been increasing medication but overlooked results.
I am very disapointed with the service as I have suffered and sometimes thought that I have got Cancer.

Telephone consultation
Was this understanding of my condition, explained why my current over the counter medication was not suitable for long term use. Prescribed an alternative medication, started how long to use it for and when to contact the practice if the medication had not worked by a given amount of time. Also explained the next step if it didn’t resolve the problem. Clear, friendly, practical advice and a plan of action.

I had a few appointments in the past few weeks with the nurses at St James' who have been looking after my wound. I cannot stress enough how caring and professional they have been.
