Christina lovely - booking system not so good
This is a review for Calm & Gentle Dental Care - Rustington
Christina, such a lovely hygienist.
But when I went to book again for 4 months time I was told I had to pay £40 deposit on top of the hygienist fee. I could book nearer the time without paying a deposit. Seems a weird system!!
I have been seeing Christina for 3 years and never had to pay a deposit. Seems a strange way to treat reliable customers.

Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear that your last experience was not what you have come to expect.
We did send an email out to all of our patients letting you know that in 2024, deposits to secure appointments was being implemented as standard. We had started taking deposits in 2021/22 so I can only apologies if you were never asked to leave a deposit previously.
I can confirm a copy of this email was sent to your email on the 19th February 2024.
As explained in the email, our reason for taking deposits was simply to reduce wasted surgery time, it was never intended to offend. I am pleased to say, we have seen patients failing their appointments reduce significantly.
I am very happy to discuss this with you if you would prefer, please call reception and ask to speak to Donna, and they will put you through.
Thanks again for reaching out, your comments will be logged in our internal system and discussed as a team at our next practice meeting. We will look at what we could have done better in regards to our communication so this did not come as a surprise to you.
Ideally, a deposit should have been requested at the time of booking in January 2024 which I can see did not happen, that it would seem, has led to this issue. Our sincere apologies.

Tooth Extraction
This is a review for Calm & Gentle Dental Care - Tonbridge
I arrived at the dentist and I was so scared my hands were shaking. My tooth had broken in half and had started paining.
The lovely staff set my mind at ease. They were friendly and reassured me that I would be fine.
I did not even feel the injections that I had. There was no pain at all. I could feel a bit of tugging and pushing. Pieter is wonderful as was his assistant. I will definitely be keeping them as my dentist! I highly recommend them to anyone especially if you have a fear about visiting the dentist.

Absolutely amazing. I had an emergency appointment as crown has come out. The dentist rebuilt the centre of the crown and fixed it back in. I am a very nervous patient and true to the name of the practice that's exactly what they do. I would highly recommend this practice. Lovely staff and calming atmosphere.

Even when I have to have a potentially painful procedure, they always make me feel relaxed and calm.
I’m terrified of dentists due to awful childhood experiences but at Calm and Gentle Dental Care I am put at ease and feel safe.
They are always patient and friendly. A really lovely place to be.

The Dentist Josh Moinheiro is an outstanding professional with a gentle touch and a reassuring demeanour. Their expertise and attention to detail put me at ease throughout the entire visit.
The nurses at Calm and Gentle Dental were equally impressive with their friendly and supportive approach. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being. Their professionalism and compassion truly set them apart.
The front of house staff at Calm and Gentle Dental also deserve a special mention for their warmth and efficiency. From scheduling appointments to handling follow on treatment, they were always courteous, attentive, and organised.
