Nice surgery but

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I was seen with only 10mins delay, which is good.
The doctor, however did not examine or ask if I had any symptoms. He just ordered the blood test and dismissed my queries. There are ways to talk to your patients but dismissing their fears before the bloods are back is not one of them.
I hope not to see him again

Fast and Efficient but, slightly disappointed.

Arrived and got a close parking space. Lifts up to floors which were great. All staff exceptionally polite and helpful. Met with a nice chap (clinician I believe) who appeared concerned but, only a referral to physio and only gave me 7 pain relief tabs which have run out before physio. They were so low in mg, they hardly had any effect. Would have preferred more pain relief to get me to the physio appt

Inexperienced nurse

When I attended the surgery for a routine blood test, the nurse on duty failed to access blood from my right arm, in spite of painfully skewing the needle, so she moved to my left arm: as a result, I ended up with heavy bruising in the crook of both of my arms

Vaccination prior to a holiday

I would like to thank Crookhorn surgery for the fantastic service you have provided me over the past 45 years +.
My last visit was with Lisa for a vaccination prior to my holiday in Cambodia.
I would like to thank Lisa for giving me sound advice in the “do’s and don’t’ on my trip. Thank you.

Bloods

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

My diabetic review went well, but the nurse tried to take my bloods, she went straight through the vein, therefore she could not get any blood owing she was not in the vein and it has left a bleed the size of a £2 coin. I am not very impressed as to my mind she has not done this treatment long enough. She then tried the left and the needle started to bend and no more blood. I said no more trying. I have now booked in at Paulsgrove, where Jane the nurse knows her job being older
