I didn't quite know what to expect from my 'Social Subscriber' sessions but came away very satisfied. I think it's an excellent service & am very pleased that I was invited to make an appointment. I felt listened to & got helpful insight into my situation & how to improve things for myself.

Appointment was a bit late due to an emergency which couldn't be avoided but nurse was really apologetic. Saw nurse, everything went smoothly, no issues

Dr Shepperd was amazing.

Brilliant service, called surgery had to to wait 10 minutes. Dr Shepherd called me. Dr asked for photos, which I sent. Dr called me back to say they will see me at Crookhorn in 1hr 15min. Saw a Dr there and he got me a scan in an hour, and some tablet I collected. Went to QA Vascular department, had a scan, no clots were found, absolutely brilliant and fantastic service. Well done.

After having a blood test the way I received results was a bit upsetting in view of my health issues. Being told by text I’m on potassium tablets as levels were low then being told I was pre diabetic again by text was upsetting with no explanation!

I am thankfully not a patient of the Portsdown Group of surgeries but my in laws are so I deal with their care. The online booking system is near on impossible to navigate and I never get anywhere with it. Just as well my elderly in laws are not ‘online’ as they wouldn’t have a clue how to use it. There is literally no way to get through on the telephone either before 2pm and after 2pm you are held in a never ending queue. When my 92 year old father in law last tried to make an appointment he couldn’t get through on the phone so drove all the way to the surgery for assistance. The staff on reception told him he couldn’t make an appointment in person and told him to go home and book online. He said he didn’t know how so was told to phone instead which he tried to explain he had also tried to do!! There are never any patients in the waiting room when I have to visit the surgery. I’m presuming it’s because no one can get an appointment in the first place! I’ve no idea what the surgery staff are doing in there all day? There really can’t be a lot of work to do. I’m currently waiting for a set of notes which will apparently take 30 days to obtain despite the fact they are literally all accessible on the surgery’s computer system? The surgery is a joke. Thank goodness the surgery I attend is far better. The receptionists worry about getting verbal abuse but I can honestly see why patients get fed up with them. They are rarely pleasant or helpful!

The doctor discussed my last symptoms. I decided to go ahead with the second jab. I was worried as I had a bad reaction to the first one. The second shot did not give me the same symptoms. Thank you. Also I didn’t have to come back, he did it straight away.
