Smear test

Cervical smear

The nurse made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She performed the procedure without any discomfort.
She also helped me to book an appointment with the menopause professional... I wouldn't have done this without her support.

Usual Confusion

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I went to collect my bi-monthly prescription from the Pharmacy and it was short of the Metformin tablets helping to control my Diabetes. The assistant said this was because I needed a Medication Review which I would have to arrange at my Doctors.
So I headed over to the Surgery and spoke to the receptionist. The lady said that I would need to have a Blood Test first and then book a Medication review. Last year those took 3 weeks to arrange. Fortunately I had enough Tablets and Cream to last. During the Telephone Review one of my Medicines was changed and the others all cancelled for no reason. The latter leaving me critically short for the next 2 weeks and necessitated 8 visits, in total, to the Surgery and Pharmacist in an attempt to sort things out.
This time I have just 3 days of Medicines left and a promise that an emergency prescription for Metformin will be ready.
Does the Left-hand really know what the Right-hand is doing???

A good visit

This is a review for Paulsgrove Surgery

I saw a very nice doctor who listened and prescribed tablets accordingly. Unfortunately the tablets disagreed with me and I had to stop them after 1 day. My surgery experience was good, though. The receptionist was nice and welcoming.

Although a slight wait for an appointment, the nurse apologised at start of appointment. A very polite and professional nurse, offered advice and support. Good clinical skills with IPC/hand hygiene.
