Blood test booking

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I arrived at Kingston Crescent Surgery. A friendly young blond lady helped me. I thought if only many people can be this friendly, it wouldn't be so exhausting to go to the doctor. She was really lovely. Very helpful. Came in to book a health visit as my last one was cancelled. My name was called out and I was greeted by a nurse with the biggest smile. I thought wow, things have changed. She was very gentle taking blood. Answered all my questions. Really amazing. Now I just need to speak to a doctor.

Poor customer service

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I called after an operation less than a week, unable to be sick as it would undo the surgery
The call handler was rude, unhelpful, did not listen or understand
I had to contact Qah for the prescription I needed badly

Appalling communication

We ensure that patients are advised these when they attend for their appointments. Please understand that due to the volume of return results that are received and reviewed on a daily basis, that it would be impossible to contact patients with results that do not require any follow-up.

Blood pressure and the nurses

The nurses didn't know anything about my blood pressure or that I was on medication and when I told the nurse that I was already on medication she just looked at me and made a moan under her breath and it was in and out, couldn't talk, it was just answering the nurse's questions and that was it

Waiting appointment time

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I had an appointment for 11:15, on the day of appointment I received a text stating, I could come to Kingston Crescent for my appointment between 9:15 and 11:15. This in my opinion was good to know there was a 2 hour window to see the G.P. I signed in around the 10:30 . For me it was a pointless text allowing me to think I could be seen earlier that appointment time, however I wasn't seen until 20 minutes after my appointment time, I feel I wasted my time waiting extra time, I'm not complaining that I was called in late.

Thank you for your feedback. It is possible that you may have been seen earlier if you had arrived earlier, it may have been that when you arrived the GP was seeing another patient, or there was something urgent that the GP was needed for.

Received a text on both asking to come in and take my blood pressure in your department and book an appointment for the vaccine, found it very easy to do both online and no hassle at all, did the blood pressure check the same day as the text

NIR Bloods

I arrived early but was still seen to within 3 mins of arriving. Nurse was very pleasant and hit the vein first time. I was in and out in less than 10 mins. Thank you. Experience good for me.

Appointment

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Not good, couldn't get an appointment, was told to phone Nhs 111, then spoke to them for the surgery to then put me on a call list, finally got an appointment, told the person I saw that I had a kidney infection. Was giving 3 days of antibiotics, didn't work. Had to come back a week later to then be told I had a kidney infection. Was given 7 day course of antibiotics, also, on my first appointment I asked if they could sign my pill off to be told I couldn't speak about anything but the appointment I was there for so wasn't very helpful, suffered with pain for another week, just to be told I had a kidney infection after all.

Blood test + tetanus injection

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Blood test done, with no problem finding a blood vessel (unusual of late!). The nurse put me at my ease and then booked me in to have the injection, which was done almost immediately. Very impressive service.
