If you are referring to my blood test or ordering medication, good. As for trying to get to see a doctor your service is non existent. Phone, online or in person I am always too late or it's the wrong time to call.

I've been having my leg wound dressing for 3 weeks now and the nurse today delivered excellent care, good knowledge of wound dressing, she put me at ease and I felt very confident in her care. She was very kind and was very empathetic.

Doctors appointment

I saw Dr Simon Donhou regarding a soft lump that had appeared on my upper back. The Doctor was very good, he examined me and explained the findings clearly.
Suggested a way ahead and submitted a request for an ultrasound at QA.
Gave comfort and support regarding my daughter's situation.
Sent a link for support services.
Very happy with the care and support received.

There are limited options at the start which was unhelpful. It took longer than the time stated. I did not get to speak to a doctor but they were happy to prescribe medication. I am totally disgusted

Misdiagnosed

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

My 91year old mother was seen by a nurse practitioner after reporting symptoms of severe dizziness and fatigue.
The nurse briefly examined both her ears and assessed her symptoms as vertigo caused by earwax. We explained that her ears had been recently examined and that this hadn’t been reported.
The nurse recommended an appointment with Specs Savers for earwax removal that would resolve the vertigo.
Needless to say that an appointment with Specsavers a few days later revealed that her ears were completely clear with no sign of earwax. The practitioner showed me the images and we could clearly see the eardrum.
I feel that the nurse should have sought advice from the doctor and should have asked more questions and assessed more carefully.

GP Appointment

Took weeks to finally get an appointment, after previous appointment randomly cancelled. Reception staff didn't care. Saw GP, who didn't follow up as promised. Left in limbo. This is the NHS - patients are an inconvenience.

Wish I could see a doctor and feel not just a number… couldn’t believe doctor wanted me to take another tablet which gave me a severe cough… fed up with doing blood pressure checks and being made to feel like a number … no one helps with how you feel when you get through the menopause or actually listen to you … a very general appointment … I have high blood pressure because of a lot of stress which won’t go away with taking two tablets .. ankles swell up and now have a rash very fed up to be honest

Major overhaul needed at practice

The health care professionals are reasonably good when you can eventually see them, namely the GP’s, however the admin staff are awful, they make it their purpose to make patients' lives difficult.
If I could use another surgery I would but the most basic things they make so difficult. I’ve had so many bad experiences with them and have had to make multiple visits to try and get a resolution. They don’t have a one-and-done approach. The interaction with the admin staff is what puts me off from visiting the GP. It’s fraught with so much trauma and drama, it’s a minefield.

Please be advised that all our staff are trained to listen, be compassionate and supportive. We do all have to work within the limitations of the Practice and often the perception is the opposite to what we are trying to achieve.
