Booked an appointment online. three days later when I turned up for the appointment told by receptionist that I had not chosen the correct person even though I had detailed my symptoms and told to choose someone else. Having told reception that I needed to see someone It was suggest I could go to Petersfield walk in Hospital. After a three hour wait saw a senior paramedic who prescribed antibiotics and wrote a letter for my Doctor.
After this there was a positive attitude to my problem with Blood tests, X-Rays and a future hospital follow up appointment.
As a Seventy Seven year old, I expect better response from Cosham Park House Surgery.

The GP I saw was very thorough. He was keen to understand why I was attending and what outcome I was looking for. My treatment options and medication were explained in good detail. I felt listened to and was not rushed.

Biggest issue with this visit was having to wait nearly 25 mins in the queue… there were only 3-4 people in front of me but they took ages with various issues to sort.

Blood test

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Very professional and friendly practitioner BUT follow up by GP another matter. I think it is absolutely unacceptable that the day after my blood test I was sent a text message saying that a GP had reviewed my blood test results and a prescription had been sent to my regular pharmacy. That was all the text said with no explanation of what the test results showed, what the medication was or why it was issued. I had to ask the pharmacy what the medication was for. I have no idea if this is an ongoing problem, whether it is a serious issue, whether regular blood tests will be required, and of course, no opportunity to ask questions. I am a living being and do not appreciate being treated in such an 'off hand' way. I think at least a phone call should have been made to inform me know what is going on with my health.
