Missing Equipment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Got an appointment after submitting e-consult. Doctor saw me on time, and was very nice, reassuring me that the issue I had gone about was nothing to worry about. Unfortunately a particular piece of equipment was needed to look at my skin and it had gone missing from her surgery. She had messaged the other surgeries asking if someone had it, but no-one had replied. We all know how hard it is to see a doctor nowadays, so it's disappointing if the correct equipment isn't available. Not the doctor's fault, but not really what you would hope for in a professional set up. Having said that, everything else was fine and run well.

Booked in easily when I arrived for appointment and seen on time by very professional nurse.

I was absolutely appalled by the attitude of the doctor I had the displeasure of dealing with, completely dismissive and to get to the point told me that I'd just had to live with an infection in the corners of my mouth, which Is not only very embarrassing, as the corners of my mouth are bright red and cracked, but also very painful, I was given no further help and was told that id have to live with it. He seemed very reluctant to offer any further help, having suffered with this for so long I was really hoping to get some progress made and left feeling saddened, I asked to be referred to a dermatologist but was told they're too busy dealing with skin cancer!
I will now have to go private for treatment and hopefully they can help me.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

No spaces in the car park, not sure where all the cars come from as hardly anybody in the surgery. Nurse that I saw was very curt and unhelpful, she couldn't get me out of there quickly enough. The receptionist was pleasant but you need to sort out your booking appointment system to be able to book to actually see a doctor - not an e consult - not an email - not a telephone appointment - but an actual face to face appointment. Some of us work full time and cannot access the internet at 10 am to book appointments and trying to get one at 7pm, I'd have more luck at winning the lottery, and don't get me started on the telephone booking system, at 1 second past 8, 50 odd in the queue.

We are an appointment-led service, therefore when you call if we have reached capacity you will be appropriately signposted to complete an eConsult, contact 111 or attend a walk-in facility. Access is well publicised as being an issue across all of the health care services, quite simply because demand is greater than the resources available. We understand your frustrations and will share your experience with our team and make changes where we can to improve this going forward.
