Toe ulcer

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

As a type 2 diabetic, I was concerned about a problem between my little toe on my left foot, the skin was showing signs of rubbing against the next toe, This happened previously in 2023 and was concerned that it was happening again. The first time it resulted in a hospital appointment. The nurse looked and decided that I should see a podiatrist, I thought that I would at least have a dressing applied but instead was told to go the a chemist and buy a sponge toe protector. I used this and found it to be hopeless as it would not stay in place. Fortunately my podiatry appointment came on the 27th December 2023 at St Marys hospital. The nurse was very competent and dressed both toes. She also provided a prescription for the necessary medication for me to be able to change the dressings at home. I am still waiting for the prescription to be delivered.
