No longer a local surgery

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Quick and straightforward appointment for a steroid injection. I fail to understand why I can't have treatment at my local surgery. That's always been the entire point of a local GP surgery.

Can I just start by thanking Deb at reception who helped tack down HRT patches for me. Above and beyond with the care and kindness so thank you so much. I’m a new patient at this surgery and the staff here are amazing and so professional.

My experience

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I attended with my 80 year old, almost blind Mum. I had provided all copies of my POA back in April 2022. Emailed to both the surgery and secretaries, as asked to do so, to addresses provided. Nothing on her records. Unable to speak for her, therefore. Secretary could confirm that they had been received. Nothing conveyed. Mum sent home with new tablets, with instructions of 'Take as advised'. Clearly this was of no use to her. Another trip to the surgery to confirm. One week later when I had returned to Scotland, I receive a request to call in with all 20 pages of POA again. Clearly not possible. Asked to email. I refused as I have been told that they had been received. Receptionist spent some time on the telephone to whomever and returned to say that the Secretary would forward to necessary department. 2 stars given were for the receptionists who did their utmost to sort the farce.

Quick, efficient

I have been 3 times to the nurse and I’ve not waited around at all which is great when you are popping out of your working day. The nurse was lovely and the service was the best I’ve received recently from a doctors surgery. Quick, efficient and happy service.

Travel clinic vaccinations

I rang for an appointment with travel clinic and was put on the waiting list. Within a very short time I received an appointment to attend surgery for required vaccinations.
I was made aware of what I needed and received advice for mosquito protection.
Very pleasant nurse, no waiting time at surgery.

Blood Test

I was booked in for a Fasting Blood test at 0840, arrived at the Surgery ten minutes early and was seen precisely at the appointment time; which me being ex service (RN) to me is always a sign of good management.
Had my blood test by a very efficient Nurse with no hassle whatsoever. I would rate it as a 1st Class service

I was very impressed when I had an appointment for a blood test. I was early and hardly had to wait. The nurse was efficient and friendly and took blood for test with ease. Also I had no bruise afterwards. Quite often they have a problem taking my blood!

I phoned for an urgent appointment at precisely 8am and line said busy. Phoned back at 8.01 and was no 10 in queue. Gave details and within 15 mins had GP phone me back with appointment for 9am. Couldn't ask for better.
