I attended an appointment at the Crookhorn Surgery. The doctor put me at ease from the very start making me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the appointment. I left the surgery feeling that my needs had been met and I had a clear way forward with a treatment plan.

Blood test didnt arrive in time for consultant

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Had blood test on Tuesday 22.8.23 for QA appointment on 29.8.23. Consultant could not proceed as blood test result were not available. Been suffering since March 2023 with debilitating palpitations so I'm gutted. I will bypass GP and get blood works via QA from now on.

Thank you for your feedback. We can see no blood results delayed this length of time for samples collected on the 22nd or a day either side. Most results were reported and 'filed' within 48 hours, which makes it accessible. The hospital will need to access the ICE system to download results not taken at the hospital; it is not 'readily' available to them, but we are sure they are aware of that.

The reception staff were very helpful and whilst I was there they helped me sort out a new date for an appointment I couldn't make. I could not work out how to contact the practice by phone to do this so it was fortuitous I had a face to face appointment where I could ask a real person! Seemed more approachable than the other surgeries I have been to. I'm lucky enough to be a car driver so I was able to attend a surgery which is some miles from where I live.

Dr Jalal's examination was very thorough and informative; experience let down by the NHS: steroid injection appt. cancelled, still no appts offered for MRI scan or the pelvic X-ray. I am still in considerable pain, just what have I got to do to get attention?

We are sorry your minor surgery appointment was cancelled however knowing our wait list numbers, I am confident that would have been re-arranged by now. Blood test was again cancelled but when I came to the surgery an appointment was found for me. Always a very good and efficient blood test, just a shame the surgery management is so poor. Doctors, nurses when you get to see them are great.
