I was and am a patient at Portsdown Practice in Kingston Cresent where the staff are great.

Excellent experience with Cardiac Nurse, answered my questions I did not know or knew of, thank you, I now understand more and got x-ray scan this week, thank you, to hopefully sort and get more insight of my situation.

I have just joined this practice and I am so glad that I did. The reception team are so friendly and helpful. The doctor rang me back really quickly today and explained everything about my condition which was really helpful. He was very friendly and polite. The practice is very nice and clean and well maintained as well. I’m a very happy patient!

I’ve had some very unpleasant experiences with this surgery in the past and I’m not usually one to write a review but recently I have found that I can’t fault the drs at Portsdown and I’ve had some positive experiences. I’ve been extremely poorly for 3 weeks but I’ve done econsults at 6:30pm twice in that time and been contacted by a dr at 8am by telephone within 2 days of doing the econsult and given the medication I need straight away over the phone. First lot of meds didn’t work for me but that’s not the drs fault and the dr I spoke with today for new meds was lovely, explained everything to me and also told me to contact again if I’m still unwell in a week which I now feel confident in doing as I know the drs will contact me if need be. Dr ozzard is brillant and super helpful, usually when speaking to a dr over the phone I don’t feel heard but he let me explain everything in depth to get a good understanding of what I needed and Dr Nelupha Begum is a super sweet lady, very helpful and understanding and explained a lot to me over the phone that again, usually drs wouldn’t take the time to do. She also phoned me twice as I missed the 1st call. I also had a breast lump not long ago and dr Mosley again was gentle, understanding and reassuring and got me referred to breast clinic straight away. One or two positive experiences can sometimes make up for all of the negative ones. Whilst there’s no denying I’ve had some pretty terrible experiences at this surgery before, I am really grateful for the few drs who have compassion and care for patients and make our experiences that little bit better.

The services that I received from the nurse was excellent. She was friendly, approachable and ensure that I was properly informed about my health and care. I would have no qualms to compliment her for a such professional attitude.

Was welcomed by friendly staff, I turned up 10 minutes early and was seen to promptly and with a smile.
nurse was very comforting and easy to talk to, made all of my concerns disappear. she answered all of my questions and gave me a really solid plan to help us gauge how my asthma has developed over the few years I haven't had a check-up.
Building was very clean and comfortable.

Having completed an econsult which In it’s self is tricky as not many are given I’d manage to get through and then been given an appointment which made me feel guilty as there are others worse than me. I took the appointment, the doctor was lovely, very caring, understanding and listened to me. I came out feeling much better although she can do not more I now still have to wait for a hospital appointment which has been cancelled twice.
