Appointments

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I have recently been transferred to this surgery following the closure of my previous surgery. Despite having 2 health conditions I can never get an appointment, on the three occasions I have managed to I have only seen a dr once and have seen a pharmacist twice to do a copd and cardiac reviews. There must be something that can be done to make it easier to get an appointment and see an actual dr.

Thank you for your feedback. We have a very large team of highly skilled clinicians and care coordinators. We are fortunate to have an extensive Pharmacy team made up of Prescription Clerks, Pharmacy Technicians and Clinical Pharmacists. The Pharmacy Technicians an Clinical Pharmacists all see patients in specific clinics. Within this team our Senior Clinical Pharmacists have specialist knowledge and interests and will likely be the most appropriate clinician to manage your condition - which is why you would have been booked into them for your COPD and Cardiac reviews. During these reviews, if the Pharmacist, or any other team member, considers you need to speak to or see a GP, they will arrange that.

Medication review

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

This was the first time I've attended Cosham Park House for my medication review and blood test. Everything went well and the waiting time to be seen wasn't long.
The phlebotomist was very nice and was very informative.
If future visits are as good then I will have no complaints.

Put my anxiety at ease

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

The nurse put me at ease as I dread this type of appointment. Very good consultation. Put my fears at ease though I will go through it again tomorrow as 2 procedures were put together, there isn't anything anyone can do to stop my fear due to an appointment a long time ago, I would like to thank the nurse I saw who put my anxiety at ease.

After a phone call, got an appointment at Cosham Park House, not my preferred surgery but the only one available.
My appointment was more or less on time and my consultation was with a Senior Practitioner, no problem, was sorted with the needed medication to help relieve my symptoms.

Exactly what a patient would like to see

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I attended the surgery for a steroid injection into my knee which I am hoping will help improve my mobility. I was seen by Katherine who was very reassuring and helpful. She set me at ease and carried out the procedure efficiently. She was attentive and exactly what a patient would like to see in the practice. Overall it was the best experience I’ve had in Cosham Park House
