Very little parking for those unhealthy visiting the surgery, the majority of spaces taken by the fit and healthy staff, this goes to demonstrate that the service is for those working in the NHS not those using the service. Late start although staff still had time to have a chat and catch up.

Thank you for your feedback. Parking is not guaranteed for patients or staff at any of our sites. Where possible staff will use alternative means of transport however, staff do often need to travel between sites and direct to patients, therefore will use the facilities available, especially due to the strict parking in the local area. Often patients need to attend for a short appointment, where our staff are often working a full day and to cover the cost of the parking would also be an additional outlay for them. Please note not all disabilities are visible and some staff do require parking near to sites. We are sorry that you had a delay in being seen due to staff talking, this will be shared with our team and we will try to improve this going forward.

New receptionist

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

My appointment had been cancelled but as I was near I went into the surgery for some help with another query. The lady on reception was so lovely and helpful. She gave me good advise and helped me how she could. While I was there someone else got very rude to her as they could not get an appointment. I agree with them as the system is rubbish and its so hard to get medical help when needed.
However its not this receptionists fault and she dealt with the angry man very well. I just hope that she does not loose her spirit too soon.

We are really pleased to hear you found our receptionist so lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in rude / aggressive patients attendance which has impacted our recruitment and retention (in the city as well as within the surgery) - although these incidents are still very fortunately in the minority.

Thank you for your comments, we will pass this on to the receptionist who I am sure will find them reassuring. It is absolutely not the receptionist fault if patients find our system tricky to navigate or access difficult; our team
are always very happy to help advise and signpost patients to any services or resources that may help.

Paulsgrove Surgery

The reception staff and medical staff were as pleasant and efficient as usual. The waiting room re-vamp was clean and tidy but very un-sociable compared to the previous layout. Even visiting the doctor should not be a barrier to interaction between people and it would be more pleasant to be facing each other as per the previous layout of seating, thus giving the opportunity for people to talk to one another if they so wish.

Amazing over the phone GP service. I was able to get antibiotics sent over to Norfolk during the same day when I had tonsillitis with no hassle. The GP was very kind and understanding, could not recommend a better health service.

Recent appointment

Went for a blood test, which was performed painlessly and efficiently. When I asked what was I being tested for, the nurse read out the tests requested by the GP and explained those which were not obvious.

Lovely doctor

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Rang last Wednesday morning, had call back from Doctor within 15 minutes. Asked to come to Kingston Crescent surgery 90 minutes later. Saw lovely doctor who arranged xray, said would probably be 3 weeks wait. 6 days later xray done at St Mary’s, results were online today with text from Doctor saying what next steps were. I thought the service was wonderful and how lucky we are to have the NHS. Thank you to everyone.
