Blood test

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I usually come away feeling very stressed after a blood test as all nurses who have tried to draw my blood either can’t do it and they resort to trying my hand which is painful, and I always end up really bruised, my last 2 appointments I have had my bloods done by Jane, she is amazing because both times she has drawn blood with no real problem, even though I know my veins aren’t the easiest. I am due another blood test in 3 months time and I’m really hoping i will be able to request Jane does it again for me. I can’t speak highly enough of Jane and her expertise.

Issue with nephrostomy

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I have been having an ongoing problem with my nephrostomy. The staff at Kingston Crescent Surgery and the district nurses have been kind, helpful and fast to help sort my issue. The skin infection and abscess appear to have gone (thank goodness) I’m now waiting for the hospital to arrange a date to remove the left kidney.

I am a great fan of the Cosham Park House Surgery and my latest visit doesn't change my view one iota. I was seen ahead of the time of my appointment, dealt with efficiently, courteously and in a very caring and considerate manner. All in all an excellent experience.
I would also like to congratulate all the staff at the surgery for their unfailing cheerful and helpful approach.

Appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

It's very difficult, being one of the older generation, not to compare with GP practices as they used to be. I realise that the days when you got to know your doctor and always saw the same on, have gone, but it doesn't instill confidence when you never see the same one twice! And the "one thing only" policy is not helpful. At my age I could make a list but we'll never get to the end of it!

We understand that for some patients, change it not necessarily seen as a good thing, however we have to be fair to all patients and therefore will often deal with one thing at a time. In some instances though you can request a double appointment so that more than one concern can be covered.

Covid Jab

We received excellent service from the staff on our visit. But the building that accommodates the surgery reminds me of those I attended in the 1950’s it’s well overdue for a major refurbishment. The other problem is access with limited parking and congested entry and exits.

Thanks for your review - we are thrilled to hear you found the service excellent.

The building is much older than the 50s, and is in fact, listed. That said, we have recently undertaken significant external and internal refurbishment and improvement works (as much as is possible within limitations) and we hope that you found the surgery to be clean and clear and saw the beautiful interior environment - that is one perk of having a listed building on the portfolio!

There is limited parking - we realise not all surgeries in the city have parking, so we are grateful for this. Unfortunately we cannot policy the congestion - we operate two exits to try and relieve this.
