The only problem is getting through on the phone. Often you get to number 1 and then you get cut off. Apart from that I think it is a good service you give.

Despite having an appointment time I had to join a queue with everyone else, some who had come earlier than their given appointments. It was very cold waiting outside and had no means of sitting down until you were 3-4 in the queue. Great for able bodied people not so great for me and the wife.

The appointment times for our vaccination clinics are used more as a guidance to the number of patients we are expecting, we cannot stop patients that choose to arrive early, and cannot police the queue, however any patient who is unable to stand in a queue for a period of time just needs to advise our staff and they will of course offer you a seat.

Just one slight problem, the doctor was running 50 minutes late with her appointments and I received a parking ticket, however the surgery staff dealt with the ticketing company and the fine was rescinded.

Trying to get sick note extension

Well what can I say after trying for 3 evenings to use the online consultation at 6.30pm to have my sick note and due to run out I rang the practice every day and they said keep trying as can’t do over the phone I finally got a “care navigator” that understood my issue and agreed that the online page had had major issues and not been working.
By now my current note was in last day and told would be done ASAP if doctor approved it.
Well 3 day later my work are understandable annoyed as I’m now technically awol I rang doctors again to chase up and a very rude “care navigator” told me takes 5 working days.
Again I explained what had happened the previous week and was told not their issues I have to wait and see if doctor agrees to it.
I was very upset by this as work were getting g in touch and I didn’t know what to do and felt they didn’t believe me.
I eventually rang again and was told yes it’s not good enough and an extension was issued there and then.
So over a week later my work had withheld my sick pay as no note adding more stress and not helping to my recovery.

Query dizziness

After attending hospital re heart/high blood pressure I was prescribed three lots of new medication. After being released from hospital and taking this medication I experienced very severe dizziness. I phoned the surgery to ascertain whether this medication was causing the dizziness and was requested to attend the Cosham surgery were I saw a lovely lady doctor. She assured me she thought that the dizziness wasn't caused by the meds. but was concerned about my ongoing chest pains. The surgery arranged for me to be taken to QA once again. After two days and more tests I was reassured that heart and lungs were OK and one of the new medications were no longer required but a seven-day course of tablets would help to relieve the dizzy spells. If they continued after that the GP had given me useful exercises I could do.
