Due to heart condition, feeling unwell..

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Due to shortness of breath and a heart condition and a bad cough. I went to see the doctor for a possible change of tablets to assist with the cough and breathing. The trainee doctor that I saw could not help me and had to go fetch a qualified doctor, which was not very much help either. This left me with no confidence.

Thank you for your feedback. We are a training practice, and therefore have several GP Registrars - who are in their final 18 months of training. They are under the supervision of an accredited GP Trainer and will defer to their advice when needed, as they did on this occasion. We are really fortunate to host several trainees, and the majority of our recently recruited Salaried GPs are GPs who trained with us, which enables us to offer GP capacity.

Sign-in was easy, the waiting room was clean with plenty of advice sheets on various subjects pinned on the walls. I was seen near enough to my appointment time and had my problem dealt with in a very professional manner and given details of ongoing investigations. Overall a good experience.

Still waiting to hear about you sorting out my COPD phone appointment as I was unable to get one when I tried to do it online. I asked reception to sort it out when I had my blood test but it was obvious "jobsworth" was not interested hence the feedback given here.

Dr Shepherds unprofessional behaviour

Absolutely appalling. I called the surgery today to let them know that I had reduced my meds and Dr Shepherd called me. She completely ignored what I was telling her and went straight in to say that she was going to remove my Oramorph that day. I explained that I had a plan already with Dr Monnery and she said that I wasnt at a supermarket and couldn't just decide what I wanted. I said that I understood that but would rather wait to speak to Dr Monnery. Throughout the entire conversation she was bordering on aggression, was extremely rude, pressurised me and talked over me every time I tried to talk. Then I noticed that she had written some notes on my patient record saying that I was pressuring her, I wasnt engaging and I was a difficult patient. This in itself upset me and caused me a huge amount of stress which isnt good for my FND and half of what she had written was false. I am not a difficult patient if I am listened to. I have filed a complaint and am awaiting some contact from the surgery. I have urged them to listen to the recording of the call.
