Firstly the receptionist, Gilna, I think she could sense that I really felt unwell, and gave help. Secondly, the promptness of Dr Fowler and the way she listened to me and checked me out, also the fact that she let me know the results, I have written letters.

The blood nurse was very nice and I didn't feel a thing. My appointment was on time also. However, it was a fasting blood test and my appointment was 9.40 and that is a long time to wait for a drink and breakfast.

Econsult!!!!!!!! Absolute waste of time!!! Say it will aim to get back to you in 24 hours!!!! Try 7 working days and that’s with an email sent to tell them you’ve not had a reply!!! Then from there, a mass of complete and utter carnage!!!! Returning phone calls, because questions regarding the Econsult, that were sent to me by text, requiring me to send back the answers via the link sent, which wasn’t sent!!!! Another phone call to get the link in order to send the answers back so to complete the Econsult!!!! Being told the link has been sent to me, only to find that they had sent me an Econsult link, that funnily enough, the were no more available today and to try again the follow morning!!!! I did not want that link!!!!!! I then had to go into the surgery to give the answers and a very helpful girl sent the answers to the doctor that had asked them. Finally somebody who gets it right!!!!! A random email telling me what was being prescribed, but no sign of a prescription or any information about where the prescription was. Looked on system online to find it in the medication section waiting for me to request it!!! Had to work that one out for myself!!!! Go to the chemist to collect it, only to find the pharmacist, who may I add did not inform me of this, decided to give me a in similar alternative as the initial medication was jot available. Only found this out when I got home!!!!! Then had to call the pharmacy to be told that they haven’t got any of that particular drug in their store so gave me an different one, could have perhaps asked if I wanted to accept the replacement!!! Had to the ring around the local pharmacies to find someone that had it, the ask them to download the original prescription in order to process it for me!!!! That was an easy Econsult and prescription request!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that our eConsult service did not meet your expectations.

Regrettably, we cannot change the automated response that comes up on screen after an eConsult submission. It does state contact will be made within 24 hours but that is not necessarily that a clinician will contact, or that the eConsult will be dealt with. We ensure that we contact via the details provided within the eConsult to advise of a timescale. This is typically within 5 working days, though there have been some unexpected absences in recent weeks that have, on occasion, pushed us slightly over. We reprioritise eConsults according to timeframes wherever possible and are very sorry that you were affected by this.

if the reviewing clinician requires more information to be able to decide on the next steps, we do use text software that allows a direct response as this is usually more efficient and convenient. The link should be contained within the text. It is very difficult for us to comment further without being able to look at your particular situation so we would be grateful if you could contact us via the complaints email [email protected] with your details so we can investigate. Unfortunately we cannot comment on issues with pharmacy stock as they are a separate business. Thank you

Very disappointed in Cosham Park House Surgery regarding my mother in laws care, sadly she passed away on the 11/8/22 and dr called why heavy sedated on morph driver and then to confirm her death. I just feel let down by the whole situation.

E-consult HRT

I have for the past year have only been able to access a GP via e-consult for my HRT. I had a phone conversation in June 2021 when asking advice and one other short phone call by another Dr all other communication has been via e-consult/phone message. I was recently grateful that a GP picked up some issues and referred me to a 2 week cancer review at QA. I found this out only by reading the NHS app as I was seeing if my urgent prescription had been issued! I did not receive an email, inbox or junk mail. I however am so grateful for the swift action of QA gynae dept and was seen within the 2 weeks. I also want to say a huge thank you to the Receptionist at Crookhorn Surgery who, every time, goes above and beyond to try and help me get my HRT.

Recent Visits.
I have always been treated with professionalism and understanding. I have however had 2 unnecessary trips to North End Surgery and been two early for my 4th Covid booster. Both appointments were made as instructed. Also checking my on line file it shows I had missed 2 appointments recently, not so. They were changed due to other medical problems. Hopefully now all has been adjusted Thank you for looking after me!

I have had and still have a very bad cough. I managed to get an appointment with a Doctor I had never heard of at Cosham for 4 pm. I eventually got in to see him at 4.50pm. Sitting in a mask with a bad cough and breathing problems in a hot room for that length of time was I think unacceptable at 87 years. I was given steroids and antibiotics for 5 days and told that if I didn’t feel good the next day to phone 111. I always thought that Doctors were there to get you well not be told to get in touch with 111 myself especially as I would have had trouble talking to somebody on the phone.
