Unfortunately I had fasted apart from eating a mint on the way from the car to the surgery. Blood test couldn’t be completed but the nurse was super lovely. I realised that I had wasted an appt and felt awful. New appt booked at reception.

The receptionist are always lovely and understanding of our issues. The system is diabolical. Trying to see a doctor or anyone with an elderly person with Alzheimer’s who quite obviously is not able to use a computer or phone between the 10 minutes that lives are active! Along with full time work for us particularly restricting.

After achieving a telephone consultation and physio appointment the meeting/consultation was fine. I now need a follow up meeting to discuss my x ray results and the way forward to reduce pain and increase mobility. So it's back to the phone at 10 AM or internet at 7PM - (refer below).

Bloods taken efficiently and without fuss. Subsequent text message advised no further action required but system has set up a telephone appointment with diabetic nurse. While I am happy with this perhaps there should be greater clarity.

Very impressive
This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery
All very straightforward and I'm grateful for the quick response to my urgent request. Overall response time from initial call to appointment was under an hour - very impressive! Wait time in surgery was minimal - 5 or so minutes. I saw a nurse and GP who were both quick to reassure me that I actually had nothing to worry about in respect of my specific concern. Overall a very good service. Thank you.

After recently having knee surgery, the ease in which I got an appointment for the removal of my staples was good and also being able to book a follow up appointment for another check up to see how things were progressing was great. The nurses that I saw each time were very attentive and looked after me well especially when I came over faint due to the nature of my appointment.

I recently made an emergency appointment due to days of feeling extremely unwell. Despite suffering from Cystic Fibrosis the doctor never once examined my chest. Instead she chose to prod around my abdomen. I was told to go home drink fluids and rest. After two more days of feeling further unwell I contacted 111 who sent me to the emergency room at QA hospital where I spent two nights before being transferred to Southampton general and spending a further 7 nights being treated for pneumonia. How can a GP not spot that? Why didn’t she listen when I explained just how unwell I was? In my opinion your surgery and that doctor in particular are not fit for purpose.

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery
I had to contact the doctor 3 times and each time my medication was put up and on the 3rd call I have received a referral. The Doctor was very understanding on the 3rd call and understood the amount of pain I am in. I give the doctor 5 stars for really listening to me, I only hope if I need to contact them again I get the same doctor. I'm not sure if I can name the doctor hence why I haven't named him. I will recommend CPH to everyone who is looking for a surgery to join.

The receptionist was amazing, she couldn’t do more to help.
The surgery is now wheelchair friendly in fact it actively works against letting wheelchair users in the building. It urgently needs to inside to be gutted and the whole inside needs a rethink.
Even the consulting room was barely big enough to take me.
The doctor was creepy, I didn’t like him at all, he wouldn’t even sit down and towered over me while talking I found it intimidating. I hope I don’t get sent to him again.
My honest opinion of him also included the fact he had cognitive imparement, he couldn’t remember what I was saying and I had to keep repeating myself.

Thank you for your feedback. All PGP buildings meet the minimum requirements “Access to and use of building Approved Document M” some exceed. As PSG is a purpose built surgery and is one of our older sites it still meets the minimum requirements as outlined. An Audit is carried out across all site’s annually to monitor and record and we still are compliant. It is of course your choice to attend a different surgery, We are sorry that your experience with the doctor, was not a more positive one, we will share your experience with the doctor mentioned, to enable them to take learning from the points provided.
