Would be nice to actually speak to a doctor either via phone or face to face not have to do a e consultation and receive a text message.

Thank you for your feedback. As you are aware we support a triage to enable phone access with a clinician when there is an urgent need. eConsults offer an opportunity for a more detailed communication which is reviewed upon receipt and acted upon as appropriate.

Thank you for your comments and 4 star review.
Typically our GP appointment's are not waiting a long time, unless there is an in house emergency / particularly unwell patient.
GPs are outnumbered by our staff, but we do have routine appointments available 7pm the night before online, 10am on the day (online and via phone). When you call to book our trained staff will ask some questions to ensure it is a GP appointment required. Quite often we are fortunate, with our extended team, to be able to offer a more appropriate clinic.

I had a nurse appointment to review a blood clot in my leg. The nurse called a doctor in to double check. The gp took time to talk about the situation and to answer questions. I left the surgery feeling very satisfied.

Quick, efficient
This is a review for Somerstown Surgery
The nurse took my blood for my test very quickly and it was pain free.
There was an issue with the blood test form not having any information on it about what tests were required from my sample and the nurse sorted it quickly and efficiently.

Fine for taking bloods but I needed 2 new pens for insulin and was told I have to see diabetic nurse before I can get any. Thought the nurse was for diabetes but obviously just general nurse. Still have no new pens so can't check if any extra insulin been given. Apart from that fine. Suppose I'll have to buy new pens !!!!!!! Just note Type 1 diabetic for 54 yrs NOT T2.

Appointment
This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery
I had an appointment for a blood test. I cannot fault anything about it the nurse was informative, friendly and called me bang on time and explained what would happen next. So no problem at all. What I do have a problem with is what I had to do to get that appointment and now what I have to do to get it followed up. The receptionist automatically say 'do an e-consult' without listening to what you need and the e=consult portal seems to be open for such a short space of time. For one thing I needed help with from GP, I have now completed 4 e-consults and I am still waiting for the outcome. So I have rated the service poor but this is by no means the nurses fault.

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased that your nurse appointment was as expected. We are sorry that the receptionist did not listen to you, we will share this with the team and take learning from it. It is important that you complete the correct eConsult and must complete separate forms for each issue, when completely unrelated. Currently we are responding to eConsults usually within 48 hours, although we advice 5 days to allow for any unknowns.

Service at surgery good but getting an appointment very hard work, why being told to phone back for non urgent appointment at 2pm should be made clear before having to .phone repeatedly

Thank you for your comments. We have set call times which enable us to maximise the staff we have available and also prioritise urgent cases. Our urgent line opens at 8am, this is for acute or new concerns, the routine calls open at 10 am this is for long standing/ ongoing issues that require a longer appointment and a 2 minute triage call is not suitable for. On-line appointments can be booked form 7pm weekday evenings and eConsults are available from 7.30 am, it is important that the correct forms are completed.

Impossible to get an appointment
This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery
I was told to ring at 10am or 7pm or use the online appointment system. I have been trying for several weeks but there are none available. I was once told as GPs are not available I should book a nurse practitioner one. None available. Only bloods and child immunisation. How can one get an appointment to see any professional at this Group of Doctors.

Thank you for your feedback. Access does take perseverance, please do ensure that you contact for urgent appointments (acute) at 8am, routine ( on-going or longstanding conditions) at 10am. For an eConsult these need to be completed at 7.30am. On-line appointments are available from 7pm.
