This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I attended Crookhorn for a blood test and I did have a query that I had been trying to sort for a couple of months with my own surgery. The lady (staff member) on the desk was amazing and so very helpful, she resolved my problem. All staff were courteous, friendly, welcoming and professional.
Well done all for a smooth east visit. If you can travel to surgeries do it, it’s a very welcome change.

Appointment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Appointments that are never on time, can overrun due to the nature of the problem. I was not impressed to be made to look stupid in front of other patient s !! For 4 mins as had to go back to car for a face mask as none were available in surgery. Already in text suggest you read it.

Lots of reception staff, chatting about personal stuff. But no medical staff visible I waited 43 minutes after signing in on tv screen, only after checking in with receptionist on her way to the toilet was I recognised and someone called. No apology for wait in spite of no other patients in the empty waiting rooms?! Not inspiring confidence!

Thank you for your feedback. When you arrived the self-check-in or receptionist should have advised the current wait time. Usually appointments only run late due to circumstances beyond the clinicians control. I am truly sorry that you had to wait for this length of time and you were not apologised to. Surgery requested and was arranged for a shingles vaccination, having arrived at appointed time and date, no vaccine was available. Informed I would be contacted to arrange another date, as yet not heard.

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, thank you for following the link to promptly book your vaccination. It is highly unusual for us to not have stock at Kingston. However earlier this month we did have an issue with stock being to Somerstown in error and we did have to rearrange some appointments. I wonder if this coincides with your appointment. I am very sorry that you were not contacted to have your appointment rearranged. We would normally advise you to follow the link in the text (as you will receive this again) so you can rebook at your convenience. We will ensure the staff member is advised to give this information out in future to avoid miscommunication.

Treated with respect

This is a review for Paulsgrove Surgery

Being disabled Paulsgrove is the only surgery I can get to by myself. Once there all the staff were pleasant. Nurse Jane Groves was amazing and treated me with the utmost respect. Paulsgrove surgery, in my opinion, has a much nicer atmosphere then the other surgeries I've visited.

Had a query and needed follow on appointment, the lady I spoke to at reception, an older lady, did not get name, was very helpful indeed, this was Friday, when she could not resolve the problem, she said she would contact me. Monday morning 8.05, she telephoned me and was all sorted. Thank you so much.

Sadly it was not a good experience, in fact I came home feeling very low. Firstly you asked me to travel to Cosham which is not easy at 81 without a car. I live where I do partly for convenience to Crookhorn surgery. At my appointment I felt the doctor was very disconnected to me and made me feel like a bother when I tried to discuss an ongoing tummy issue in case it was connected to the itching I had developed. He as good as dismissed me. The whole system at Crookhorn has gone so far downhill it’s scary!!!!

Appointments are offered across our sites, for some patients this works well, but for some this does not work. Please be assured that you can decline appointments at other sites and wait for an appointment at your preferred site, this could however lead to a longer wait time.
