So incredibly grateful

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Considering the way life has changed in recent years, I have had nothing but the best of care from here. Especially so with regards to caring for my elderly and disabled mother who lives with me. Not only have I had quick responses to various needs but I have also had calls from the frailty team who make sure that I am coping and if I need any help. I actually cannot fault the way I have personally been dealt with and I am so incredibly grateful.

Crookhorn Lane Surgery

As a regular blood donor, I am used to giving blood (over 100 donations) and having blood tests. So I was shocked to have bled profusely after my blood test soaking my shirt sleeve and having to return to the clinic to staunch the flow.

Most surprised that the doctor would not discuss my other problems as she said she is only allowed to assess one ailment. It is hard enough to get an appointment and not have any other problems taken care of.

Thank you for your feedback. The doctor is correct, appointments are only long enough to discuss one ailment at a time, although you can request a double appointment if you have a couple of ailments. There is a shortfall in GPs coming into Primary Care, but we do offer services from other clinicians to enable the GPs to be able to cover the areas that other clinicians cannot.

Extreme difficulty in accessing the routine call centre at 10:00 hours, on the 15th attempt contact with a machine was established. I was placed at number 26 (10:12 hours) and my call was important. Twenty three minutes later I spoke to a lovely person who informed me that no routine appointments were available. Therefore we all wasted our time and I assumed that the call centre went home after 30 minutes of work!
