This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I was seen very quickly and everyone was friendly. I told the nurse that I was taking less of the Midrodrine, only 1 tablet x3 daily instead of 2 because it was making me dizzy but she did not suggest that I discuss this with a doctor. She only told me that my blood pressure was ok.

A week after having my gallbladder removed I was quite unwell and was seen promptly by a doctor. Very thorough and friendly and professional. Even followed up the next day with a phone call.

Can't thank the nursing staff enough.
Saw a lovely nurse on Friday 22 April 2022, who removed my sutures, which wasn't easy to remove. She put me at ease & was just lovely. Thank you.
Today (Monday 25 April 2022) saw Nurse Caroline, who changed my dressing, just a lovely person.
Thank you to both Nurses, so very caring.

Somerstown Surgery

I came in to use the BP machine. The readings were not very good. The receptionist was able to make an HCA appointment for the next day. Excellent service so far. However this was because I called and asked. I now need a routine appointment. Navigating the telephone system is a nightmare. I was told to ring between 10 & 12. I rang on Friday during that time thinking I’ll avoid the early period when likely to be busy. All appointments were gone so told to ring Monday. Phoned earlier but all appointments gone. Told to log on at 7 pm or ring at 10 tomorrow. I can’t imagine my late mother ever being able to negotiate this system, especially without a smartphone or computer.

Thank you for your feedback. Our telephone system has been set-up to allow us to maximise the limited resources we have available to us. This ensures that we offer the maximum number of appointments to our patients, however this does mean that patients need to contact at the relevant times to either be offered an appointment, or signposted appropriately. We also offer other options, such as, eConsult, on-line booking or attending the Practice to arrange an appointments.

Efficiently run

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I found it very efficiently run. In fact, I was early but went straight in. Had no ill effects afterwards. I just wish that at 87 I didn’t have to go so far from Purbrook to get it. If I didn’t still drive I wouldn’t have been able to have it.

Booking in was easy (much easier than getting a GP appointment that's for sure).
The staff are friendly and helpful and carry a lot of knowledge. Today's injection was the quickest I've ever had. Literally in and out within around 3 mins, for me, this is amazing as I hate injections. The nurse or HCSW had it all ready and waiting. Great experience under the circumstances. Thank you guys, see you in 3 months.
