Alternative surgery

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I was called to attend an appointment and requested to attend an alternative surgery to my usual but still within the Portsdown group practice. This was not problematic for myself and would encourage those more mobile to do so if this the way forward to be seen in a timely manner. Kingston Crescent is bright and clean, staff behind reception are friendly, welcoming and helpful. It is a much more user friendly building. All was a smooth process from arrival to leaving, everyone polite and friendly.

The nurse was very friendly

The nurse was very friendly and it didnt hurt when she gave me an injection to take my blood test, also she was understanding about my hearing loss .

Emergency Appt.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

After phoning 111 they arranged for GP to phone me asap Within 20 mins they did and got me in for emergency appointment as I was experiencing numbness, blurred vision, was unable to feel anything.
GP was very thorough ( not my usual GP ) and was worried about a possible stroke.
Arranged to go to A+E with a letter explaining why I was there.
Good experience throughout and treated me with respect which was important to me.
Very happy with overall experience once at the surgery.

Appointment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I can never get an appointment I am either on hold, lines closed or no appointments left call back tomorrow. E consult was closed.

Receptionists are not helpful, don’t care.

Was prescribed medication at QA but was unable to get medication for two weeks.

Went to AnE with condition who prescribed medication straight away.

Notes sent from QA were ignored.

Went for ECG and had to point out my notes to the nurse. She was surprised I had no medication. No doctor in the building to sign off my prescription.

Have had no contact from my gp about my condition what so ever.

The receptionist, was very helpful and polite. It was nice to see, a doctor for once. But I have no problems with my medical treatment, from the surgery. So I am happy with my visit.

Nurse practitioner

Went along to give urine sample, be examined & referred for a kidney scan as suggested by GP.
No sample taken as "no point" no examination & only got referral because I insisted I needed to know why I have blood in urine & this will confirm or rule out kidney stones!

Appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

This was not very good at all, I booked an emergency appointment to be seen by a nurse that no offence didn’t know what she was doing. But she was SOOOO nice (but I’m not there for niceness ?)

I called 4 days straight, the booking system is A NIGHTMARE

I go to the doctors once every 4 years or so and this is whyyyyy I rather suffer then go as it’s a pain in the *** to get an appointment
