Scheduled Diabetic Review

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Signed in on arrival using electronic reception device. Directed to waiting Room 2. Waited briefly five minutes, was called through by Nurse to her surgery.
Normal procedure followed, with relevant questions about current Medication, Diet and Lifestyle and activity levels. Offered the chance to take up the invite to join the current NHS Weight Service - which after a brief discussion I completed the application form. Now await a further response. Urine sample sent for lab testing and Fasting Blood Sample taken. BP lower than previous readings. Notified Nurse currently using 'Nutracheck App' for personal weight management which has resulted in some weightloss. Distal pulse checked but difficult to feel as both ankles very swollen. Peripheral Neuropathy checked for both feet plus capillary refill. Passed. All in all I was very pleased with the appointment. Look forward to my Blood Test result in due course as Type 2 Diabetic on slow release Metformin.

Although this appt was only for a blood test I was treated pleasantly as usual by the nurse. It was a painless procedure and very quick and efficiently carried out.

Excellent service, it was the initial fear of setting up the appointment via the internet that throws everyone off. I do feel that elderly people will feel left abandoned because they can not set up the initial start if that makes sense but now I know how to do it I feel more in touch.

First time at Heywood Surgery.

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

This is the first time at Heywood surgery. I found the receptionist helpful and friendly, I was a little surprised to be the only patient. The treatment went as expected. The only problem I can see with this practice is parking, being disabled if I could not park close to the door I would have to cancel my appointment wasting my time and yours.

Appointment

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I was phoned in response to a request to the surgery from carer for legs to be looked at. The doctor had no clue what was going on as hadn't read the notes before phoning. He ended up telling me something that was later found to be a different outcome. Also wouldn't discuss medication issue as that wasn't what he was phoning for. Overall a waste of a call.

Removal of clips from knee

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

The nurse, Erin, was very efficient in removing the 34 clips from the wound, which resulted from my full knee replacement surgery on my right leg. Erin was very gentle and made the whole process surprisingly painless.
