Appointment

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

The level of service I have received has been good although the first appt I had, I felt like I wasn’t really taken seriously. My chest problems were blamed on anxiety I felt when I had no anxiety. I’m pleased that different tests have been carried out to rule out certain things. I’m glad they’re coming back generally ok but am now feeling worried about what I do next? My chest is still pretty bad and I feel very debilitated by it post covid. Really struggling to be active even doing basic jobs around the house and still getting chest pains.

My experience

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

This appointment was supposed to be a 8 week postnatal check up by a doctor but was done by a nurse. My blood pressure medication was neither discussed or reviewed even though I tried to get an appointment previously. I understand GPS are very busy currently but I got a phone call within minutes of the appointment so I don't understand why the doctor couldn't see me in person in the first place.

A Carer's MOT

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

As a Carer, I am so pleased that I was offered this check up. That it's a yearly appointment - but with access at other times to a specific member of the team, if I have any problem - is reassuring. My blood pressure was taken + blood taken for full testing. I had the opportunity to talk about my mental health as well as physical aspects. I was treated with the utmost kindness and courtesy. Thank you.

When I got to the surgery, on both occasions, my name was not in the system. After I raised concern, the receptionist, decided to do me a favour by immediately booking me in manually. That's how I got seen by the Nursing Practitioner. On last year's annual check up appt. I was sent home empty handed and had to make a new appointment.

Thank you for your 5 star rating. It is lovely to hear you found the doctor caring and patient. We do offer F2F appointments and have done through the pandemic. We have simply introduced triage for all appointments, rather than just the 'urgent' ones. If you need to be seen in person, rest assured that will be arranged.
