Blood test

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

The only thing I did not like was that I had a bruised arm for a few days after my blood test, it felt as though it was a blunt needle that was used. I knew it wasn't but thats what it felt like. Other than that everything else was fine.

Appointment

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Appointment system is a nightmare. Admin should be available throughout the day, as this is the centre of the hub. Urgent and Routine telephone should be available for patients as per their needs, not as per the group needs. The whole appointment systems is not efficient.
Furthermore, to book a doctor's appointment is almost impossible.

I only came for for Covid-19 vaccines, so I'm not sure I can offer much of a review of Kingston Crescent Surgery.
I came for my first vaccination (I guess as a Portsdown Group patient) - the appointment was great, super smooth, I arrived a few mins early, queued for a few mins and went straight through. All the staff (I'm aware some were volunteers) that I encountered were very friendly, all smiling and helpful.
As my second vaccine appointment date approached (the one written on my card) I wasn't sure what to do so I booked an appintment at a local pharmacy.
I was asked to come to Kingston Crescent for my booster, which was a similarly all-around very pleasant experience.

Lack of help knowing when we were going to be seen, waited hour still saw no one, everyone else who was coming in went in by this time husband was very anxious and upset so had to leave.

The doctor who saw me referred me to tour co-ordinator (?) who visited me and arranged a tsunami of services which have, between them, helped me with the improvement to my arthritis; this was complicated by overlapping with severe constipation, which did result in a home visit from a doctor but slowed the whole process by not being able to eat for days and lying in bed; the doctor's visit did eventually clear this up but slowed up progress with the arthritis.

Thank you for your feedback, you were referred to care co-ordinator to assess you, this can often lead to several services being involved. Sometimes medication can cause some side effects, however adjustments were clearly required to get the balance required.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency Injection

My appointment was due at 1400. However, I was attended to promptly before that time. The Procedure was done in a matter of a few seconds. There was no discomfort whatsoever. I was very pleased with the level of service afforded me.
