Many thanks for the feedback. Whilst we do operate a predominantly 'phone first' approach - we do keep capacity for those who need to be seen face to face to be booked in promptly. you can access routine support online at 7pm and also through eConsult, which we recommend to look out for earlier in the morning/day.

B12 Injection

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Only waited a few minutes, Nurse was very nice and professional. The injection was painless. Though feel 3 months for me is too long, 7/8 weeks and I start to feel very tired again.

Thank you for the positive review. If you do consider you need to reduce the time between injections please either book a routine telecon (online at 7pm or over phone at 10am) or put an eConsult in to the practice. Please note that due to demand vs capacity we do cap our eConsults and therefore the morning is often the 'better' time to access this digital service.

Phoned three days in a row trying to get an appointment each day told no appointment available! Even after e-consultation had two weeks before seeing someone! In discomfort and pain till prescribed medicine!

You can choose to visit any one of our sites if that helps in the future, though we appreciate if you have a strict timescale the options may be limited. I was extremely frustrated/angry at how many attempts each day it took over a week cycle before I finally got through and spoke to a doctor, which resulted in 2 lots of antibiotics. Receptionists are NOT doctors but they refused to make a doctors appointment telling me to go to the pharmacy instead, clearly with 4 bottle of medicine and only getting worse this resulted in a severe chest infection.
We are all very busy people and the amount of time I was left waiting to get through meant I was not doing my day job effectively.

Thank you for your feedback. All our contact centre and reception staff, follow the clear guidance of our Partners, this is to ensure that you are signposted correctly. In some circumstances symptoms can progress and then medication is escalated in line with NICE guidance.
