Kingston Crescent Surgery

Had 2 go twice on the same day as I've still got a kidney infection, the receptionist said that I won't get amoxicillin until they get the results of my urine test which I do understand, later I had my MMR and tetanus, and the doctor said that my antibiotics had been sent 2 my chemist. I now have 2 jabs, the booster, the flu, the MMR and the tetanus, very grateful, the NHS are the best, thank you very much.

I cannot find fault

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I joined the Portsdown Group towards the end of April 2021. I cannot find fault with the wonderful care I have had with the Portsdown Group. I have had such kindness, and interest in my health problems, which has given me so much relief and peace of mind that I am being taken seriously.
The Nurses have been wonderful, receptionists, and Drs.
Thank you Portsdown Group/Cosham Park House/Paulsgrove Surgery.

It took a while to get to this assessment with the doctor. I was very relieved to be able to speak personally face to face with the doctor. It was lovely to be listened to and have the doctors kind and reassuring presence after lots of heightened anxiety for my health.

Health Assessment

Original appointment changed but conflicting information meant I had to go into the surgery to confirm the appointment. Took 35 minutes on hold to get through to make original appointment. Actual health assessment was really well managed by the member of staff who dealt with me.

Excellent service

Great care and attention from nursing staff. Understood what was needed and able to progress through routine appointment. Only issue is that it is so difficult to see a doctor face to face and the Elderly cannot be diagnosed online. Need to put in place a process to see elderly patients.

Quick, efficient

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

Appointment online for a flu jab was relatively easy to make - although layout of Portsdown website could be better. I was a few minutes late - I could not use the automatic signing in system (suspect because I was a few minutes late - but I can't be sure). No recognised queuing system to see member of reception - and I can imagine that may cause conflict with those waiting at times. However, I got seen quickly...and was asked to wait. I was called in within 3-4 minutes. It took 2-3 minutes for the jab - very quick and efficient.

I was forced to wait half an hour at the surgery when I was fasting for a blood test and had not eaten a thing since 1030pm the night before. I can't help but wonder with what the nurse I saw said to me she had let 2 patients before me that were not due then. She also had no idea I was fasting! I went to the reception after waiting another 10 minutes to speak to the receptionist and she said she had to email the nurse and was 10 minutes before she came out to me. I was extremely distressed, very irratable and anxious by the time I was in with the nurse. This was friday 5 nov.

Dressing an ulcerated varicous vein

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

How can anyone improve on perfect. The staff always keep a running commentary going while the old dressing is being removed. Then the wound is washed, cleaned, inspected, then a new dressing is applied.
All the time I am kept informed of the treatment and procedure. I usually have a different nurse each week, so there's no complaints from me.
