I arrived earlier than my appointment but was seen straight away. The nurse I spoke to was very helpful and arranged my Covid booster and advised on my blood tests, couldn’t praise her any more.

Flu Jab
This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery
The Checking-in System said I did not exist. The Nurse told me I was obese & did not have the time to do my Blood Pressure. She queried that I had ever had a flu jab before, then looked up my details to find I had. I asked at Reception if I could make an appointment to speak to a doctor & as I believe I have return of Skin cancer. Was told to ring at 1000 the next day & was to photograph the areas. I live alone & do not own a camera. Left feeling I was a nuisance.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the service we provided was not to our normal standards. A photograph is required for referrals to dermatology, however if you cannot provide a photograph you can attend and the clinician can take an photograph for you.

Very hard to get an appointment with the GP and when you’ve got an appointment the receptionist are not welcome in there, quite rude, they are very rarely loud when they speak to the patients, I think there is no confidentiality between people waiting area and the patient the way reception is speak is very loud. The way all the receptionist speak to the patient in the waiting area it’s very loudly spoken makes me feel feel very scared of them, not very nice to hear very loud voice and harsh voice from them they need to be bit more calm and talk with some soft tone. They should make the patient very welcome and comfortable but instead they make me nervous and scared coming to GP coming in the reception area and waiting because I feel there is no confidentiality between the people waiting area and myself and the receptionist.

With my ailments not requiring immediate attention, I phoned at 10.01 to request a later appointment. I was informed that I was 15th in the queue and, when I was connected to an advisor and described my problems, I was told that all appointments for the day had gone. I said that I understood this which was why I was requesting an appointment for a later day. I was then informed that future appointments were not taken. When I asked how was I ever to see a doctor? I was advised to go online, which I did. The only appointments available there, and I have tried several times, have been for Flue injections and womens' treatments. Why are doctors giving Flu and Coved injections when they are too busy to see patients with what could be serious medical conditions?
