Appointment

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I went for my flu jab and told the nurse I had a cold and possibly a urine infection. She postponed the jab and told me to collect a bottle and form and hand a urine sample the next day. I did this. The next day I received a text informing me that it was invalid as I hadn’t dropped it off at 2.30 and I hadn’t phoned the triage nurse first. Nobody told me to do this.

I've had countless jabs since joining this practice: 2 Covid, 2 flu, tetanus, 2 MMR, shingles.

I had previously booked at time for my flu jab with my doctor but when I arrived there was a very efficient flow system, so although slightly disappointed not to actually meet my doctor after so long, I was pleased to get my flu jab so quickly.

Good visit

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Good visit. Unfortunately the self check in didn't accept the details for my flu jab appointment so I went to the reception desk. I think they were understaffed as the receptionist was obviously very busy and it took about 5 minutes for her to notice a queue. Other than that it was very well run and I had 2 jabs within a few minutes of being checked in and was out again before I knew it.

Cortisone injection

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Unfortunately, I arrived in plenty of time for my appointment and the system said it was a 10 minute wait. It ended up being 40 minutes and I had to be back at work 20 minutes later so I was stressed!

The gentleman who gave me the injection was able to answer my questions and he reassured me about having it done. He was very kind and put me at ease. It was an easy procedure that I would have again if needed.
