Very attentive, very pleasant

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I cannot remember the lady's name but she was very attentive, very pleasant and even talked to me which was good due to my current mental health problems, I thought the amount of flu jabs she had to do was too many. I was also seen very quickly, but the auto sign in instead of queueing did not work.

I was told it wasn't urgent and told to do an online survey, after answering the questions it said I needed to speak to someone that day, so I called back and told to call back at 10am, after doing this and eventually getting through I was then told to go online at 7pm as appointments are released, I wasn't told I needed to have registered online which I hadn't so a total waste of time, eventually spoke to a doctor the next day and told to use Otex for 4 weeks and I would get an appointment for an audiologist within that timeframe ... I had to call today as I hadn't received a call to be told it will be months before an appointment is available.

Good prompt service

Good prompt service, l was very happy, the only thing was they must have looked at my records and saw l had an appointment for a flu jab and offered me one while I was there but unfortunately did not cancel my existing appointment so Crookhorn text me to say I had missed my appointment which was a shame.

Waiting room was not filled with people waiting. Was seen on time. Self service checkin which was just as well as the receptionist was dealing with a patient's query from before I arrived and was still trying to resolve it when I left.

Ongoing treatment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I have no issues at all with my recent appointment for a flu vaccination however in 2019 following routine blood tests both myself and especially my husband were contacted about the necessity for repeat tests. Neither of us have been contacted to have a repeat test and as this is part of your health prevention testing it is a failing.
It concerns me that basic procedures have been set aside and could lead ultimately to increased pressure on the services and missed opportunities to diagnose underlying conditions.
