Felt like a waste of an appointment as it could have been done over the phone as the nurse practitioner didn't even touch me and just asked me questions and filled out the paperwork for me to be referred to the hospital which could of been done over the phone

Somerstown Surgery

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I went for my flu jab and whilst there I did ask at the desk if I could make an appointment to check something out. I was asked what the problem was in earshot of others there and told I would need to ring at 10 the next morning to make an appointment snd could not make one whilst at the surgery.
The nurse was efficient snd very quick and I was pleased but as I said it was only a flu jab but pleased to have had it.
I did attempt the following day to ring and three times the message said you were busy snd to try later. On the fourth attempt I was 24 in the queue snd after 45 mins was put through to a very nice lady who then told me that all appointments were now taken and to try after 7 or the following morning. This I tried and could not get through! I feel a lot of vulnerable people would struggle and not be able to talk to someone which is very sad. The lady said many people prefer this method but everyone I have spoken to feel very frustrated. Very sad to see how things are.

Although it was great that because the doctor couldn’t get hold of me on the phone (due to lack of service), she arranged some physio for the same week. However, the service at Portsdown practice is far from perfect…see improvements.
