This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Having to go to North End for a jab is somewhat odd when it would be far more convenient for me to go to the Wofferton Road surgery in Paulsgrove or even the Cosham surgery. More thought for the patient rather than the practice should be adopted.

Without the NHS app on my mobile phone I might still be trying to book my flu jab with the surgery. Despite several attempts I could not get through by phone to book it, nor did I receive a reminder, despite being asthmatic & classed as vulnerable. How on earth do those without the app manage, I wonder?

I was seen immediately, both receptionist and nurse were very friendly. Having asked a question re COVID jab nurse answered straight away which reassured me .

I arrived earlier than expected and signed in. I expected to wait around 20 minutes, but I was called earlier as it wasn't busy. Very quick and effective appointment. Both nurse and receptionist very friendly and helpful.

I have tried to get a doctors appointment but was unsuccessful I phoned at 8 was 28 in the queue when I finally got through I was told there was no appointments left to go to the walk in centre or phone 111.

The doctor was very good at calming me down and explaining what was going on, he was very helpful in getting me in for blood test and arranged for blood results, he also had the a and e appointment ready in case blood wasn't good, he rang me early the following day with the results of the tests and told me.

I phoned up for an emergency appointment for my 3 years old daughter, she had a stomach pain, the man on the phone says there's limited appointment we can't see her phone back 8 am the next day. What a poor service, keep the 3 years old child in pain till next day.

The surgery was clean and the chairs well spaced out, I used the electronic sign in which was quick and easy and gave me a rough wait time, was seen within that time. The nurse was very helpful and my appointment was quick.
