Visiting the nurses is excellent but when it comes to trying to get an appointment to see a doctor it is impossible. I have written an email to complain about this, no one even bothers to get back to you, so patients just left in pain for months on end. I don't think this is acceptable.

Attempts to get consultation

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

The system is absolutely disgraceful...I initially 'phoned on Tuesday for an urgent appointment, was advised that I needed to 'phone back at 10am for a routine appointment...I called back at 10, was constantly cut off or not connected...when I finally got through I was told that there were no more appointments that day. I 'phoned back on Thursday and got connected quickly (10:10) to be told that there were no more appointments (I was third in queue on connection)

Emergency Appointment

This is a review for Paulsgrove Surgery

Feel that I wasted a whole day. I had to call for a triage appointment first thing in the morning, I was then told to expect a call back before 1.30pm, then the appointment was set for 4.30pm. When I saw the doctor, I told him I was in a great deal of pain, so expected to be prescribed painkillers. Instead he gave me an information leaflet of the symptoms and told me to buy codeine. When I arrived at a chemist, I was told I could only buy a low dose of co-codamol, which did not relieve the pain at all.

Service decline

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

Prepandemic it was simple to make an appointment and see a doctor. Now it’s more like a chore.
I can see a dentist, an optician etc but it’s harder to see a doctor.
E consult is counterproductive as it increases the time where you could just get it straight from the horses mouth.

It didn't take long to get a doctors appointment, knowing l have vertigo, knowing my appointment was at 10.15 that took the longest tbh but apart from that the service was very good, people should be able to get an appointment quickly in the future and be able to see our own doctor.

I reported that I thought that there was something wrong with my breast. I phoned at 8am and was seen by Dr, she looked me over then she asked for another doctor who examined me, they said they didn't want to take any chances and so they are doing bloods and then 2 days later I had a letter from the breast clinic in QA on Thursday so I thought their performance and an hour-long appointment with the Dr so a big thanks to you all at Kingston crescent surgery on the splendid kindness.

I had my post natal appointment. It seemed like the nurse just wanted to tick all the boxes and get us out of there as soon as possible. She didn't seem to care at all and wasn't very empathetic with baby.

111 referral

I was called back by this place after phoning 111 for severe abdominal pain. The doctor failed to realise by my symptoms, I had a blocked bowel and led to 5 hours of unnecessary pain when he should of called 111 for a dispatch ambulance or told me to go to a and e.
