As a person rarely needing the doctor, to have a voice mail when you're in distress telling you "We are currently receiving high volume calls- Please hang Up. Not even putting you in a queue. That is Awful.

Surgery need updating to make it disabled friendly

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I love the Dr's and all of the rest of the staff at the surgery but the surgery itself desperately needs updating. The door ways are so slender that getting my wheelchair into consultation rooms is such a struggle and if I'm in my power wheelchair I can't get into a lot of the rooms, once in the room there is no space to maneuver is so stressful. Please sort it out so that people like myself don't have to feel anxious about setting a GP or a nurse. Thank you.

Worried about skin cancer on back.

Phoned several times to make an appt. no fill out form on computer. Explained I am not very good , but insisted I had to fill in form . So in the end I went to St. Mary’s walk in unit, excellent service, must make urgent appt. with doctor or dermatologist. At last I had an appt. oh with a nurse, very helpful took a photo and said a dermatologist will ph. Still had to chase them up. The stress and worry . At last an appt. at St. Mary’s , luckily all clear, if I had an appt. at the beginning of my first phone call I wouldn’t have had all this worry and stress.
Your staff has to be more understanding and not to keep telling patients to fill in this form on the computer. Not every one has a computer.

Consultation

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Everything was fine until I was called in to see the doctor when I immediately sensed a very impatient attitude on his part. He made me feel that I was being a nuisance and he seemed impatient all through the consultation which put me very much on edge and unable to give him the correct information. I'm sorry but that was how I felt and it was he who made me feel like that, I didn't want to be there but when I contacted 111 and a single smile on his part would have been nice, I was told to seek medical help urgently. so what was I supposed to do? He did prescribe some pain relief for me but I would very much like to know why I'm in agonising pain all night and every night and have been for the last two years. I'm very worried about my legs and he just said was restless legs. I've had restless legs in the past and what I'm suffering now is absolutely nothing like restless legs, I've never experienced pain with restless legs it's just a sensation. I'm in agonising pain every night and all night. and can't get anything done about it so I'm not very happy.

Called for an urgent appointment due to recent chest pain

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I spoke to a Dr within a couple of hours from my initial 8am call. I was asked to attend the surgery for an appointment at 11.30 and was seen by a nurse practitioner who arranged for me to be seen in the hospital. Both the GP that o spoke to and the nurse practitioner were thorough and reassuring. It was all very efficient. In hospital I had an ecg, blood tests and chest X-ray which established that the chest pain that I had experienced the day before was not of concern.

Somerstown Hub

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

I went to The Hub not Heywards Rd, they were great but couldnt do my bloods due to the useless team at Kingstone Rd surgery. They really need to get their knowledge up to date before booking people in, its a waste of my time and Nurses/Dr's.
I would prefer to go to Heywards Rd as it is close by and lovely receptionist! Same as the Hub. Now I have to wait for Nurse to get the info required before I can get another appointment ??
