The pharmacist I saw was extremely friendly and helpful.

Took10 working days for any contact with doctor after e- consult. Left 2 weeks without properly managed pain relief. Poor communication, got a text message asking me to make an appointment which is why I filled in e-consult form because I couldn’t get one.

Finding ways to improve and change my diet and life style as type 2 diabetes could become an issue at a future date ........information given by practice nurse was extremely helpful.

During lockdown I have had three telephone appointments and the follow up treatments have been excellent. From my initial recent telephone call on the 10th August 2021 I have had a blood test, a physical examination by a doctor and two referrals to QA consultants all within the same week.
I really cannot ask for better service than this, from the Portsdown Group Practice.

Dreadful service, can’t get through on the phone, can’t see a doctor, I think it’s everyone’s human right to see a GP, not a nurse, or paramedic, your GP, I’ve worked all the way through out the pandemic, most of the time doing 16/18 hour shifts, 7 days a week, with absolutely no support from this doctor surgery or any other surgery, at the end of the day we all sign up to do a job, the job that I signed up for is the job i HAD to do, regardless of a pandemic. I had to support family and colleagues throughout. Do an e-consult that’s all you get, do you not realise that most people have not got access to the internet, or they are elderly and do not know how to do that..!!!..Where would we be if are armed forces, had chosen not to to go to war, to protect themselves, this is what what said to me when I asked to see a GP, the reply was no sorry we have to protect ourselves ..!!!…What..!!!..this was what they signed up for…Yes it’s been difficult for everyone, but my job still did not change still had to go and nurse positive Covid. Even though I was scared stiff. But that was my job regardless…if I didn’t who would..??…

Doctor explained things in detail. Doctor was very pleasant and helpful.

I was lucky enough to have more support than i expected. The nurses were fantastic; professional and friendly.
Receptionist was very helpful too.

The doctor knew his job. Every question was to the point, and the physical examination fast. My life wasn't in danger, he sent me to day surgery for blood test. All this in 10-15 minutes. Thanks.

Saw Mandy for bloods, as always she was very nice, was very happy with my treatment.

This was the first time I had been to Somerstown Surgery as I normally go to Kingston Crescent. Well set out, very efficient and friendly staff. No hassles or problems. No hanging around waiting for my appointment, I was well impressed.

Saw the most pleasant doctor who was reassuring and helpful. Sorted me out.

Very good care is always provided here. The hold music is horrible though!!

I was seen for an appointment in good time and treated by a Doctor/Practitioner who was thorough and communicative. This made an immediate improvement in my treatment.
Please note that these rating relate only to this appointment. There are many unsatisfactory aspects to the treatment I am receiving from the Practice as a whole. The Doctor I saw for this appointment worked to a high standard but unfortunately the chances of receiving any further communication from him are very slim as there is no continuity of treatment on the Portsdown Practice merry go round.

After doing an e consultation I was told seek help from gp there receptionist were not helpful it took 82 attempts to get through
