It is extremely hard to get a doctors or a nursing professionals medical opinion. It seems to stop at the so called care navigator. And they can be rude. Not all of them.

Non Attendance at surgery

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I telephoned the surgery regarding an accident I had had and I was asked to forward a photograph of the same, which I did. I was informed that as I had an appointment on the afternoon of that day (Friday) I was not able to make an appointment at surgery but was advised to 'phone 111 the following day for an appointment at St Mary's Hospital. This I did, and although an appointment could not be made I was advised to walk in and wait - which I did. I was eventually seen and treated and advised I must make an appointment for further treatment to my hand. This I did, an appointment was made at Cosham surgery, after which a further appointment was made at Somerstown surgery and again a futher appointment made at Cosham surgery, when finally I was told the hand was mending and no further treatment needed. This was after 2 weeks.

1st Visit to my new surgery!

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Very efficient and helpful staff who have to work in a very built up inner city area. I would suggest that you have a security doorman at this surgery due to the area. It became quite tense waiting to be seen whilst a man with mental health issues was able to wander around amongst vulnerable patients.

I cannot fault this surgery but it would be nice if they had a clinic or helpline where you could just ask about something that was worrying without actually having to make an appointment to see a doctor.

I have only been there three times as it's not my usual doctor's. Each time has been quick, while the waiting room seems clean and tidy, staff have been friendly. My only negative would be that they didn't have the dressings they needed to cover my incision. Not the staffs fault of course.

On arriving I was having quite a panic, couldn’t stop shaking. I had lists with me. The GP was very understanding and listened to me. He gave me a lot of confidence that something would be sorted out and somebody cares. It has been extremely hard for Doctors and medical staff. Through this past 18 months I’d like to thank them all at Crookhorn Surgery for working through this Pandemic.

Excellent, friendly, caring service from nurses who take time to talk through treatment. Only negative is getting an appointment with a doctor is extremely difficult and completing an econsult is not responded to within timescale stated.
