Warfarin blood test

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I have to have fortnightly blood test for warfarin treatment. Much better now that my daughter can book bloods appointment online.

Medical Review

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

After a short wait I was seen by the HCA who was polite and efficient and made me feel valued. I was asked if I understood the reason for the visit and what was going to be done. All in all a very positive experience

Arrived on time, called in promptly, explained what procedure was and was I happy to go ahead. Excellent explanation and effects of injection observer also present, both were very professional polite and friendly happy throughout and advice given at the end.

No issues except for parking

Arrived for appointment, checked in, waited for appointment time, called in no delays. The only criticism I have is the car park is always full of staff cars so patients struggle to park.

Very helpful

Helpful Staff.
The staff at the Surgery are very helpful. When I indicated my wish to be registered online so that I can order my drugs without coming into the surgery, this was promptly facilitated. Furthermore, the staff are always ready to assist when there are issues to sort out, including putting patients in contact with the relevant specialist nurse (in my own case, the diabetic nurse). Overall, a good job all round.

Call appointment

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

It would be nice if I can see the doctor face to face. I have a few illness problems and since 2019 I have not seen doctor and it's very difficult to get a call appointment. I feel my health is getting worse and nobody is paying me any attention.

Econsult

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I was really disappointed with my recent experience. I never got a response to my original econsult.
After waiting weeks for a response I submitted a second econsult request. After several days I was then asked to submit photos on a platform which it was not possible to do so. After waiting for over 20 minutes in a telephone queue I was then incorrectly advised to try via a laptop or PC instead of a mobile phone. This advice was wrong. Finally after another wait on a telephone queue (over 30 minutes) I was finally sent a link which allowed me to submit photos.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry that you found our eConsult service frustrating. We did have a backlog of eConsults due to an unprecedented increase in demand. However, we are realising the benefits of resource investment and the turnaround time is reducing to more satisfactory and consistent levels. We do apologise that being caught in the delay meant that online options were not available as the link had expired. We also hope you have not been deterred from using eConsult in the future, where we hope you will find see the improvement in service. Thank you

Very efficient and helpful staff

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

The receptionist was very polite and helpful, explaining the system to me and pointing me in the right direction as it was my first visit to Crookhorn Surgery. The nurse spoke to me while I was waiting outside her room and said she had one more patient to see before me. When I went in, she introduced herself by name and said what she was to do. Blood test done quickly and efficiently, without any bruising later, which is unusual for me. All in all, a very positive experience.
