I was very impressed with the service I received from the surgery and was happy with the outcome with the doctor who saw me going the extra mile to see if there was anything else he could help me with as well as taking information that was beyond what the appointment was for.

Injection and e-consult

Shingles vaccination

My visit for my shingles vaccination was excellent. For covid l didn't get called because you only had my landline phone number. When l phoned about it receptionist said call later. When l spoke to doc she looked for appointment none available. So had to book it myself.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry you are not happy with phone consultations. Sometimes these are the most efficient way of consulting and dealing with a medical issue. Please be reassured that if you need to be seen face to face, you will be invited in by the clinician. We see many patients face to face - in June we had over 9700 face to face consultations.

Smear

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

This was my first visit to this surgery, found parking, walked around the whole building (outside) every dirt said no entry.. till I finally got to the last door, it wasn’t clear which way I should have gone to sign in, found my way up some stairs to book in, the receptionist was fine, send me to where I should wait, the waiting room was clean and safe. Then I was called for my smear, the nurse was fine very thorough.

They were very friendly, approachable and professional. I left there very happy with the service provided, thank you to all the staff who helped me, that morning I arrived early at the Somerstown Surgery but the staff were extremely helpful when I asked for some advice and even saw me early.

Excellent Phone Consultation

The doctor that called me was very kind. Broke down my blood test results and enabled me to understand. I was then put on medication that was awaiting me at my pharmacy in the hour. Put me at ease very much.

The receptionist and staff where a lot more helpful than Portsdown practice at Kingston Crescent which I find are very poor and most of the reception staff are very rude!!! Seriously needs looking at.

Appointment

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

The whole booking system is horrendous. You are given certain times to call to get appointments and if you are lucky enough to be in a queue, you can wait anywhere up to half hour to get through to someone to then be told that all appointments have gone... there is no flexibility at all. The process will then have to start all over again the next day and so on until you get an appointment. Having two young children and a job means that it is near on impossible to have the time just to try and get an appointment. It's actually an atrocious service. When you do get through to a member of staff- they are often rude and abrupt and frankly unhelpful. I hope you do!
