I'm happy with the service

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

Went in for Tetanus jab, booking was done online quick and efficiently, the wait was less than 3 minutes on arrival and I was made aware that I hadn't had my MMR jabs for quite a while so that jab was offered and done at the same time. Had a short chat with reception and the staff seemed pleasant. So far I'm happy with the service received.

Re online consultations

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I made 2 online consultations , concerning a mole on my left arm, with a black mark in the middle, plus, a request to continue with my Sleep Apnea testing, as suggested by my Heart consultant/professor. I was promised a call back by 29th June, and, have still heard nothing from anyone at the surgery. This feeling of being ignored is amplified by my being Aspergers/Autistic.

If this was the 'auto-response' you receive with your reference, this does tell you that you will receive contact by this time - however that may be an update and it may be by text, not phone. We are working on a backlog whilst we implement a new process that will return us to our previously efficient turnaround times.

Please be assured that the eConsults system has safety nets built in so that if anything you entered was of concern, you would be redirected to a more acute service.

Blood test

Blood test and nurse were good and went well.Got a text to say I had high cholesterol. And to get in touch with the doctor but that is impossible.
It has took me a week of many phone calls and still no phone appointment all I want to know is my cholesterol number and do I need statins. I can't understand why when you ring up An appointment can't be made even if it is for the following week or 2. One day I waited 40 minutes another time 30.And I still don't know what my cholesterol is. And that is not counting the other times I phoned.

E consultation re..mole, and Sleep Apnea

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Could not get through on phone, had to do an E consultation re worrying mole on left arm, and, re starting testing for Sleep Apnea, at request of Professor Kalra, my cardio consultation. I was supposed to be contacted by surgery by 29th June, regarding these, but have heard nothing. Due to my being Aspergers, the whole process has left me feeling even more anxious than I already was.

Hard to find

The surgery and its staff are fine. I attended for a fasting blood test, I suffer from anxiety as well as diabetes. I hadn't been given any details of the location of the surgery. I am struggling coping with appointments at a practice that covers such a large area.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you were satisfied with your appointment, but sorry to hear you struggled to locate Somerstown Health Centre. The 'sat nav' postcode does sometimes misguide you. Hopefully now you have attended you will find it easier in the future. However, you can attend any of our sites for appointments, regardless of your 'base' if you prefer. You only need ask - otherwise we will usually offer you the first available appointment. If you don't mind possibly waiting a little longer, we will happily accommodate you at another site wherever possible.

I was a little nervous to have my blood test but I was met by a lovely receptionist and didn’t need to wait to been seen. The nurse, Michelle Pace, couldn’t have been kinder. She made the experience painless, easy and enjoyable. I left smiling and would recommend the surgery.
