Very understanding and showed compassion and empathy which in a lot of surgeries I have had in the past found to be lacking. Also I managed to get awareness around my illness, Thank you and keep up the good work.

Removal of lump on back

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I was made to feel at ease all staff were friendly discussed treatment and what they were going to do, made sure I understood everything answering my questions fully. Made sure I had no pain and added more pain relief very neat cut leaving neat small scar.

Asthma review & treatment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I have been pleased to receive phone calls in recent months from the asthma nurse after my asthma went out of control in February. As a result I am now on new medication which appears to control my asthma and have had a chest x-ray and call from the asthma nurse subsequently.

Blood Test Bruises

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I have thin veins which need a Butterfly Canula. Having drunk at least two half litres of water in the hour prior to my Diabetic Blood Test the Nurse still had difficulty finding my veins. Only one small phial was drawn from my right arm - which is now very bruised. Two small phials were drawn from my left arm.
Not happy with having to wear long sleeved blouses in this heat - as bruises on my arms attract alot of attention when outside.

Thank you for your feedback. Due to your veins you are more prone to bruising. What we can do is provide blood forms for you to have your blood taken at the hospital, please enquire next time that your blood test is due.

Visit for Shingles Vaccination

Helpful staff on reception who showed me how to book in - waiting time to be seen approximately 10 mins - the person I saw explained the vaccination and also offered a Tetanus vaccination which I accepted. A very fuss free appointment thanks to very friendly helpful staff

Poor service from an extremely over subscribed GP surgery

Did an econsult on 26 May and eventually received a call from a GP on 8th June after making a complaint. Had asked to speak to a particular GP but got someone I had never heard of or spoken to before. Had obviously not read records before making call and had no idea what I was talking about. Waste of time call, now changing GP surgery as service at Portsdown is so bad. Pity as they started so well.

We are making changes to improve the process and the current timescales that we are working to. As with any request, this is sent to the next available clinician and can be delayed even further if a specific GP has been requested. J has a learning disability, the nurse did not understand that she did not understand that she need to keep still for the blood pressure machine to work and when I suggested she use the manual one she could not hear the result so I think she guessed.

My wife and I are both waiting for things to happen. My wife really needs an appointment and keeps getting knocked back. Drs are nice, some of the receptionists seem to think that they have a medical degree.
