Very disappointing approach to caring

This is a review for Heyward Road Surgery & Practice

I have had so few good experiences with this practice since it became part of the group. I am a transplant patient and need regular medications and blood test etc. Both things are hard for the patient to deal with, they are stressful and not easy at all. So many systems. So many different procedures. I once had an out of hours doctor ring me all because I wanted a blood test, she was not happy at all. And they are trying to close down Heyward Road by forcing us all to go elsewhere.
I emailed for a referral. Answer: that’s done by email, use online form. I used online NHS form , that assures me that my GO will contact me within 72 hours. They obviously don’t know Portsdown Group. It’s been a week now since I did that form. I have started the process of reporting this to NHS .

Amazing!!

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I have recently joined the surgery after moving from Pagham. This practice and staff are a different league from my old practice. Staff are attentive, kind and efficient. My repeat prescription was sorted in days and also I was given an appointment quickly as I had concerns about my blood pressure. All these things were dealt with quickly and sorted. Cant thank the team enough. So pleased I found the practice. 10/10

Trying to see a doctor

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

The chances of actually seeing a person are now so small its ridiculous, trying to phone to get an appt is useless. Phone at 8am to be told to phone at 10... phone at 10am to be told all apps gone phone at 2pm... call at 2pm guess what call at 8am tomorrow as no more apps.
The call people are rude and the receptionists really unhelpful most of the time.

I got a text invite for a Tetanus and MMR jab with a link to book an appointment.
There were plenty of days/times to choose from to make the appointment and it was very easy to book - much better than trying to phone, which is sometimes impossible.
I turned up at the surgery for my jab and it all went smoothly and quite quickly and the doctor was really nice.

This is not my usual practice but booked in to get my smear test and I'm really glad I chose this practice. Reception and nurse were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Practice was tidy, clean and well organised. I was seen on time and my appointment was fast and efficient without feeling rushed.

IPF exsascerbation

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

Getting to see a doctor is the most difficult thing in the world to do. I have an exsacerbation for my specialist condition. My named doctor is the specialist in this area for the BLF and the Asthma UK and I never get to see him. He is the lung specialist and I required his help. I was even told that there is another lung specialist in the practice, I am still not allowed to see her, I beleive her name is Kerry. Two specialists in the practice, not allowed to see them. Listen to Dr Whittermore every week on BLF website asks me to consult with him if required. Never able to????? Very poor practice almost unethical?

Meds review female pharmacist.

Extremely unhappy being spoken to like a 2 yr old. The pharmacist didnt know why I was on any of the meds, had not read my file did not know about any of my illnesses. Presumed I was on tablets for an illness I do not have. Then proceeded to read my mri report and admitted she did not understand what any of it meant but carried on reading it to me telling me I have to have a hysterectomy and have been referred to a colarectol surgeon but couldnt tell me why. I want to know how to make a formal complaint.
