Thank you for your feedback. Crookhorn has 3 regular doctors based at the surgery, with the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Great service

Since moving over from the Hanway Road practice, I can honestly say that I have had nothing but a great service. Okay the telephone service gets frustrating at times, but then we have to give consideration to the current situation with Covid-19 but overall I have nothing to complain about and have nothing but praise for the treatment received.

I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment which was the first appointment of the day for the doctor. After patiently waiting 30 beyond the actual appointment time I had to raise a complaint for the long wait before I was seen.

Waiting for GP call following eConsult

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Having tried to get through for an actual GP appointment, only to be told there were no appointments I requested a GP consult via eConsult. After giving as much info as possible, I got an email back saying a GP would call me sometime in the next 10 days. I got home from work (30 munute drive, back after 6pm) to find that the GP had called. I went onto my NHS records to find that the consult was now complete! I find it exhausting to try and get through to the surgery, so will try again via eConsult. It's not great customer service to have to wait for over a week, for a phone call that could come at any time. If you miss it, then back to square one....

Long wait despite appointment

I arrived within my appointment window for a vaccine, but was not seen until 30/40minutes after the end of the window, despite it being very quiet. There was no information and I almost thought I had been forgotten. Otherwise the staff I talked to on arrival and when I was finally seen were polite and helpful

Measles injection

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I received a text to state I was due a measles vaccination. I tried to access the system on line to book an appointment but all available were for other services. I had to email the surgery. Thankfully this changed my experience, I received a reply giving me a link to book an appointment. I arrived on time and was seen almost immediately. The doctor I saw was respectful and advised me I needed two other vaccination. These were administered swiftly and I was on my way. I had no problem once I arrived at the surgery but think the telephone service to book appointments needs to be updated. I have also received comments from other patients who had problems trying to get an answer on the telephone system.
