Using the portal to request a repeat of a prescription made in 2018, my request was rejected. During a separate e-consultation for my psoriasis, the GP advised that I make a routine appointment for the BP and statins issue. On trying this I was unable for several days to get the appointment with a GP. Following several ‘high call levels’ responses and automatically cut off, I eventually got through to the Portsdown appointments section at 10.40am and asked the person for an appointment. I was told the appointments were arranged on a daily basis but that no appointments were now available for the day. When I tried again the next day the same happened. I told the lady that I had only 2 weeks of pills left and needed more before they ran out. She could only advise me to ‘keep trying’. As appointments were available with nurses for bloods, and given my NHS app said bloods were due shortly I set an appointment for bloods in the hope that, whilst getting these done, the nurse could set a GP appointment to deal with the results and associated BP pills and statins. I attended the bloods appointment but the nurse could only advise that I set up a medication review appointment at reception. The Receptionist advise that medication review appointments were arranged on a weekly basis on Thursday pm and Friday am. I had to return to Crookhorn Surgery to arrange this and was given an appointment for a week ahead (Thursday). I find the difficulties arranging GP appointments a disgrace. Even a telephone ‘triage’ consultation would have been fine but it was nigh on impossible to get the GP appointment.

Doctor was friendly and knowledgeable and dealt with my issue. Confusing layout of waiting rooms so ended up in wrong room. Why is there no display to say the doctor is ready. They had these signs at Hanway so could you not use these?

Reception seems to be qualified doctors and refused me to speak to a doctor as wasn't an emergency.

Came in for a blood test requested by doctor and the nurse quite abruptly told me this is a B12 clinic and I stated I was here for a blood test and she rudely stated while you're here I might as well do it but in future check before you book. I felt very small the way she spoke to me and in this day and aged manners and speaking in the correct manner is appreciated.

I've tried getting appointments only to be told my problems didn't class as an emergency the attitude of the receptionist was terrible I don't know how they can tell me my problems not bad. They are not doctors and don't know my medical history since we left Hanway Road surgery I am disappointed with the way I've been treated. Many other people feel the same way too

It took 6 days to get a response from my e consult and 12 days to wait for a blood test.

My first time using the surgery, it was clean and spacious and well kept, the front desk was helpful and polite while the nurse helped me stay calm by being cheerful and chatty. You can tell these brave members of the NHS enjoy their job so much! This country needs more NHS workers to be as professional and helpful as the staff at this surgery.

Seeing the doctor was fast but waiting time was also a bit long.

I saw the nurse straight away, I was in and out in no time.
