This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

This is the second time in the last 12 months that I have been seen by a nurse practitioner for similar conditions, not given the current medication and then within a few days had to then get an emergency appointment to see a qualified doctor who then has to put it right. It's just not good enough really.

Thank you for your feedback. With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Results sent in a text

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

Dr Sheppard sent results of my 24 hour Blood result in a text with a brand new medication that I have never had before as I have never been diagnosed with Hypertension before. I think this is bad consultation and a telephone call should have been made and spoken to about results with a consultation of how this affects me.

Thank you for your feedback. Without specific details it is difficult to give a full response. However, we are increasingly using text messaging to communicate with patients. It is saved into your records and is a convenient way of updating patients and on occasion for patients to update the clinician, when appropriate.

Should a further discussion be required, the clinician would schedule a telephone or face to face appointment.
