A re-occuring problem has been addressed

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I have been suffering with a re-occuring problem of an ulcerated varicose vein. It was treated earlier in the year and I was discharged, if you call it that from the surgery at Crookhorn. But unfortunately the ulcer returned with a vengeance. So once again I had to seek professional help and Cosham Park House was, as always on the ball, and I was referred back to Crookhorn that afternoon. Now I will be getting treatment every week until it is conquered and I have every faith in the staff both at Crookhorn and Cosham Park house to ensure that the treatment is nothing but the best. for an old war horse like meyself.

Flu jab

Had flu jab booked for Cosham from Kingston Crescent. Had never been there before, all staff made me feel very welcome and directed me where I needed to go. Everything went very smoothly. Didn't feel a thing no side effects.

Helpful conversation but no action after

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

I had a telephone conversation with a practitioner last Tuesday (23rd March) to review my medication. It was helpful and the practitioner said that a new batch of prescriptions would be sent to my pharmacy straight away. I went to collect my medication on Saturday 27th March but nothing had been sent through from the surgery. Luckily I still have a week's tablets left, but I had walked into town specifically and so it was a complete waste of time.

So impressed

This is a review for Kingston Crescent Surgery

I phoned the surgery because I have had a cough for some time. My usual surgery is Crookhorn but my app was Kingston Crescent. Have only ever been there for jabs. The Doctor was tied up so I saw a nurse called Joanne. She went through so much with me as I had a couple of other things needing sorted. I have now had Covid test which proved negative, booked for blood test and am booking QA for chest X-ray. I was so impressed at the service I was given.

Urgent appointment

I had to phone for an urgent appointment and the doctor phoned me back and asked me to go to CPH to see a doctor. So I went in at the appointment time but I had to wait quite a while before I saw the doctor and although I know there is more than one doctor in the surgery it seemed that a lot of people came in after I arrived they seemed to go in before me. When I got into see the doctor he was very polite and helped me as I had to go to the far rooms and I have problems with walking. I went about my feet swelling but he said he didn't think there was an infection then he took a lot of time about my breathing as I was very out of breath by the time I got half way to the room. The doctor really listened to what I had to say so I can't fault the surgery in anyway.

Visit to surgery

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I had to attend the surgery as I was unable to get through on the phone. I’d had an urgent endoscopy and required medication. I provided the receptionist with the paperwork. The surgery was not aware of this information. The receptionist went to ask one Dr ( I did not get their name) he suggested I call 111 - this seemed a strange suggestion given the circumstances and given the pain I was in not welcome. However the receptionist waited to ask another Dr who agreed to provide a prescription and came and spoke to me about the endoscopy partial result. I was very impressed the receptionist who took time and was caring enough to ensure I received the medication, even the Dr said the condition I have is extremely painful. Thanks to the afternoon receptionist and the Dr. Perhaps advice that patients are not referred to call another place when they are undergoing tests for a potentially serious health matter.
