Good experience, receptionist could be more helpful

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I had a great experience and appointment was only slightly late.
However on the way out a lady came in and asked to make an appointment at the counter. She was bluntly told she had to phone up to make one. I asked to make an appointment at Kingston crescent whilst in there as I couldn’t get through on phone and one was made for me? If really not possible a little care may have been appropriate ie asking if urgent care was needed, checking lady was able to phone, had a working phone, had sufficient English, etc

Friendly service

Professional service. Very friendly Nurse and HCA who put me at ease during my 2 separate appointments. Impressed with how quick I was able to obtain an appointment during the pandemic. The receptionist who made my appointments was also very friendly and polite.

Very good patient care but poor parking

This is a review for Cosham Park House Surgery

Once at the surgery everything was very good and efficient. Unfortunately as I am unable to walk any distance at the moment the lack of parking is a very big issue. My wife had to help me from a neighbouring street, very stressful for both of us.

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

We are in lockdown yet i walked straight in..no one took my temperature...the receptionist refused to speak to me as i had my mask on and said she couldnt understand me yet im English with a British accent....she insisted i log in on the wall machine....then insisted that i touch the hand sanitiser!! Which i refused...got in to see the DR who said i was booked in for a smear which i wasnt!!! Aweful place

I had to take my little boy for his vaccinations. The staff were very friendly, helpful. It was nice to see that the surgery was not full & all COVID precautions followed. We waited less than five minutes to be seen.

The E consultation and follow up system for knee review & treatment

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

The E consult form submitted & had phone call with Doctor within 72hrs, followed up with appointment to visit more specialist Doctor at Kingston Road Surgery 5days later, then subsequent physio assessment to be carried out at St Marys Hospital arranged for 12 days later with follow on treatment TBA. Cannot fault the system - excellent service.

Lack of knowledge GP doctor covid 19 fatigue

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

For fatigue after covid19 infection, I got prescribed anti-depressant. Explained that my symptoms are after covid19 and that I have a problem to breathe true the mask at work and I think that my body got not enough oxygen etc. I don't think that I was taken seriously at all.I have contact with this GP twice and never been helped.

E consult

This is a review for Crookhorn Surgery

I e mailed Crookhorn surgery on Friday 26th February. A receptionist rang me on Monday 1st March to say the doctor would ring me on Wednesday 3rd March after 2pm . Dr Mannings did ring me and asked me some questions. He was very pleasant and efficient. He had a prescription sent to the pharmacy straight away and l was able to pick it up that day .

Appointment about my knee

I was given an appointment to see a paramedic as I am having problems with my knee. He was very thorough and pleasant. I felt quite reassured about my knee after seeing him and have also been referred to the x ray dept at St Mary’s.
