Letter received inviting me for a health check. Difficulties is getting through to book an appointment, very frustrating and time comsuming. /arrived on time for my appointment and went almost straight in. Nurse Mandy explained all the tests and gave reasons for each one. She was kind, friendly, efficient and took the blood tests fairly painlessly.
She also gave me the results from a previous test I had not received.

It was generally OK and my medical pracrioner was very supportive but there was a man at the back of waiting room with no mask coughing and spluttering and this made me feel very unsafe.

Thank you for your feedback. We adhere to the strict Government guidelines, therefore masks are expected to be worn by patients, however those that are exempt, we will work with on an individual basis, that is assessed at the time to ensure they can still be seen.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

I went for injection for cancer. The reception at entrance was very clear and helpful the nurse was on time for my injection I was only inside for about 10 mins.

When attending surgery

I've not had to go to the surgery much so am still new although I have been registered there since Hanway road closed. Finding it all a bit much as i'.m not sure what to do when I get there so different to the surgery I'm used to.

Repeat prescription failure

This is a review for Somerstown Surgery

I gave the surgery a week to fill my prescription and I was only provided my tablets. I was not told that they would not provide my needles or injectable. Resulting in not being able to give insulin or victoza for 24 hours. Then I spent my day off running between the chemist and surgery to get the script. I then asked the surgery over the phone to provide me with the script as I knew my chemist did not have what I needed. Surgery gave me a barcode which I took to a different chemist only to find the script had already been sent to my chemist who did not have what I needed. Hence another trip to chemist to collect the script and take it back to the new chemist that had what I needed. A total waste of my day off due to a lack of communication.

Good to be able to discuss issue with GP over the phone and discuss options. Didn't need a face to face appointment so being able to speak to the GP was quick and action plan put into place without any delays waiting for an appointment.

Buzzing and deafness in ear

Phoned doctors at 8-30am gave details, doctor phoned back 10 minutes later she arranged appointment at Cosham practice for 9-15am, arrived and saw someone within 10 of arriving, very happy with service and speed at which I was seen.
